I've decided not to delete my profile or give up on my dream job. Life is too precious not to go for what you want. I may not get any freelance work for a good while, but I'm not gonna stop doing what I love. Currently working on a homebrew setting for #Starfinder2e! More details Soon™️

Details on Atomic Wizardry that I've come up with - 70s/80s sci-fi aesthetic - magic comes from spooky cosmic radiation - there are bugbears. They are insect swarms in the shape of a bear. I am hilarious I have some wip maps done too. It's slow going but progress is being made!

My first five TTRPGs in the order I played them (I think): 1. AD&D 2e 2. D&D 3e/3.5e 3. Vampire: the Masquerade 4. Werewolf: the Apocalypse 5. Pathfinder 1e

My first five ttrpgs in the order I played them: 1. AD&D homebrew created with just the DMG. 2. Gamma World 3. Tunnels and Trolls (mostly solo adventures) 4. Marvel Faserip 5. Star Frontiers (I think... it's been a LONG time)

Please, for the love of the gods, just don't.

I've said it before and I will keep saying it. Watching the show, the movies, or reading the books puts money in her pocket. Even if you pirate them, you're contributing to the popularity of the franchise. JKR is an objectively awful person who actively harms others. Don't be an accomplice.

A little reminder to leave reviews & recommendations for the TTRPGs you love. ❤️ It helps creators get discovered, gives other gamers a reason to check out their work, and costs you absolutely nothing. A few words can make a HUGE difference to an indie creator. ✨

Roll20 and Demiplane are seeking to expand our licensed content resources by bringing on additional content conversion specialists as remote independent contractors. Details here: tinyurl.com/87knkd2z #ttrpg #remotework #nowhiring

Regardless of my feelings about the company, this is absolutely badass news and I'm so happy for the workers of UWOTC-CWA! May more companies' workers follow you into unionization! #UnionStrong #wotc

United Wizards of the Coast - CWA@uwotc-official.bsky.social

Today is a momentous day for the workers of Arena! After months of planning, waiting and organizing, our dream is finally a reality; the votes have been counted, and our union of UWOTC-CWA has been officially elected. From this day forward, we have a union!

If I wasn't beoke as hell, I'd buy 20 of these to hand out to everyone I know because Peppin is a national treasure. If you can, you should pick one up! You'll be supporting very cool people making my favorite actual plays out there.

Narrative Declaration@narrativedeclaration.com

24 hours left to grab the Peppin plush, the hero of Arboria himself! This is the final piece of Eclectics merch we'll be making, so when the window closes tomorrow at noon PT, that's it. Forever. youtooz.com/products/pep... #Pathfinder2e #TTRPG

I got an email for a free period of #FFXIV and I'm so torn. My brief foray last time was a lot of fun, but I have a bad track record with MMO's because of my tendency to hyperfocus. Considering it just caused a bout of insomnia leading to playing Ring of Pain until 10am, I have reservations 😬

Time to kick the elephant out of the room: Yes, I'm one of the people Paizo's laying off, my last day being July 7th. My heart is broken to leave the best team I've ever worked with - a team I've learned so much from. If you know of any game designer or developer openings, I'd love to talk to you.

I'll say more when I can focus a bit, but for now ... While I'd love to stay in games, I'm also open to editor positions elsewhere in the publishing world. Fiction would be lovely. Before joining the games industry, I spent a decade and a half in higher ed roles that inform my work today.

lynne-m-meyer.carrd.coLynne M. Meyer: TTRPG Editor, Writer, and ConsultantHail and well met! Here you can learn a little about me, my TTRPG work, and how to get in touch. Let's create together!

Not sure if anyone even reads my posts but to any of y'all who do: I'm probably going to disable this profile soon. I almost never check it anymore, my website is only visited by Russian bots, and after 1.5 years of no freelance work, I think it's time to hang up my hat. It is what it is.

I am sadly too broke for this, but Green Ronin does good work and this looks very cool, so go check it out!

whenever folks talk about harry potter and separating artist from art they always have this indignant 'OH SO IM A BAD FOR BUYING THESE BOOKS?' but thats not the real issue. the reality is that many will BELIEVE you are bad, and that is VALID. its not your choice what others think of you

Posted under Axios' BS story about the Target boycott being "over." Their source? Some random-ass televangelist who had nothing to do with organizing the boycott in the first place. #BoycottTarget

Not so fast.

I think the closest Chili's is like 3 hours away anyway, but anytime I'm traveling, I sure as hells won't be considering their establishments. Fuck this shit all the way off.

Apropos of nothing in particular, certainly not about disgustingly rich toy companies giving insane amounts of money to a vile transphobe for a crack at their IP and then trying to claim a moral high ground. Definitely not about that. #FireChrisCocks

the thing about "separating the art from the artist" is that it comes from academic circles where they were trying to separate an artist's views from an interpretation of their work as an intellectual exercise, not as a way to give people moral carte blanche to support shitty people

1) EASY. Gambit. 2) Harder. I think Meriadoc, but Arwen is pretty badass so I certainly wouldn't say no. 3) Do we count JL Dark? If so, Constantine. If not? Probably Wonder Woman. (I am less familiar with DC in general but she seems like she'd have a lot of interesting stories.) 4) EASY. Riker.

Gail Simone@gailsimone.bsky.social

You are unattached and can date one choice each from the following categories. Whom do you pick? 1) A Marvel mutant 2) A Tolkien character 3) A Justice Leaguer 4) A Star Trek Character One choice for each category, GO!

This looks super cool and you should get it!

Down to just 4K for our first stretch goal and another 10K from Minnesota aid. Next week I'll be bringing you some teases about some of the cool things you'll find in the book, plus I'll be hyping up some of the amazing Native writers on our team.

My partner and I did a combo late Xmas/Valentine's Day tonight (I work tomorrow night) and we just opened our presents to each other. Look what she gave me! #Paizo #MonsterMatch

This feels like a worthy cause. MN is a horror show right now, and lots of people are rightfully afraid to go outside with the gestapo prowling the streets.
