Starting a count of how many times per day I accidentally look directly at the sun despite all awareness and common sense, today we are up to 3

We're in the middle of mad men season 2 and I just shouted at my partner, "IT'S SO FUN TO DRESS UP IN A SPARKLY LITTLE DRESS BUT IT'S SO UNCOMFORTABLE TO BE OGLED! WHY CAN'T GOD HELP ME???"

Girls just wanna be warm Oo girls just wanna be warm When October sun is gone Oo girls just wanna be warm (An original song I wrote while cocooned inside the twin size comforter I bring out for the couch when the temp starts dropping under 50)

the human body contains several muscles whose only purpose is to ruin your week when you accidentally use them for the first time in a decade

Endlessly entering strings of six numbers into every app and website, closing the email signup, accepting the cookies, you can't kill me motherfucker I'm eternal, I have a peace inside me that is ever growing, every pop up is a splinter I will replace with the scar tissue of patience, I WILL PREVAIL

Huge kudos to Matt Johnson and the gang, really excited to see how the "Stavros goes on Drew Barrymore's talk show" episode of NTBTS season 3 plays out

Ed Sheeran’s band just quit the Ed Sheeran tour.

The Irish musicians, Beoga, who play alongside Ed Sheeran, have withdrawn from Sheeran’s tour. This is the statement they published on Instagram:

I would like to opt out of Microsoft authenticator on the basis of ADHD. Stop reminding me my phone exists in the middle of the workday. Do you want me to do my job or not.

I'm so tired but I have to do my job anyway, I do not see how this is not basis for a lawsuit. The defendants would of course be the government, my employers, my partner, and my parents

In my house, we have to show each other the wad of car hair and hide it from the cat. 😔 This is the accepted workaround when you have a Class A Little Sicko who will try to eat fur.

Ian Boudreau@ianboudreau.com

A lot of people don't know this, but when you brush a cat, you are legally required to show them the wad of cat hair that came off of them and tell them "this is enough for another whole cat"

People like kavish here are in fact willingly, gleefully speedrunning Being A Pathetic Burden To Society while proudly announcing that they’ve voluntarily become completely non functional tech dependents. it HAS to be a humiliation kink!?

oh your entire industry is crumbling because of externalities outside your control? Have you thought of starting a patreon so that you have to do a bunch of extra work on top of that?

TIL the infamous "inkblot test" always uses the same 10 inkblots

New phone showing me battery saver icons at 25%. Extremely naive behavior. Acting like we're not about to plumb the depths of what this battery is capable of. Like it won't be called upon to bravely surpass all former definitions of a single percent.

Listened to a playlist including Imogen Heap's Hide and Seek today and it was weird how well I could suddenly remember being 19. Anyway great song

Someone made an Inuyasha soundtrack playlist on Spotify so that I can feel like I'm triumphing over demons while I'm categorizing these expenses

I just started thinking about how the yogurt (skyr) I eat almost every day is extremely similar in texture, flavor, and thickness to a small tub of cream cheese

Should I be worried about my arteries? Or conversely, can I just eat straight cream cheese? Will I remember any of these thoughts by the time I'm off work and can consult the Internet and/or my several nutritionist friends? Who's to say ....

I looked it up. Cream cheese is high in fat and skyr is low in fat. Skyr is technically a mild cheese based on the way it's made. Anyway all this to say I'm currently eating an everything bagel with giant dollops of skyr on it and I feel great about myself.
