The Ramaswamy ad has pushed the largest newspaper in Ohio, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, to reverse its position on endorsements. "A candidate who uses childhood sexual abuse as a weapon against the person who endured it has crossed a line that Ohioans should defend, whatever their party."
You laugh but we wrote a slack bot to do this at my office because picking lunch was taking so long
I had my AI agent create an app called “Lunch” to help me with decision fatigue and boost my productivity. It has a few pictures of things I might like to eat. Tapping one spawns a subagent to order that item on Uber Eats and 60-90 minutes later I’m eating. It’s 600 thousand lines of JavaScript.
Judy, I think you're confused about what "beyond reproach" means. Call me, I just want to chat.
Ohio candidate for governor Republican Vivek Ramaswamy is attempting to reframe his controversial ad featuring Democratic opponent Amy Acton’s estranged mother as protestors have started gathering at his events. ohiocapitaljournal.com/2026/10/25/r...

‘Just wrong.’ Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine tells Ramaswamy to immediately take down controversial ad. ohiocapitaljournal.com/2026/10/22/j...
Re-upping this take in light of this morning's news cycle.
Do I think Brown has a better than 40% chance to win right now? Yes. Do I think Acton does... Probably not. And if it's against Tressel I think it's sub-10%. BUT do I see a pathway where Acton beats Ramswammy? Yep. It's the one where Trump keeps being Trump and Brown wins the Senate.
#1 here is not specific but even in the broadest sense I don't think it's right. I bet 50% of people at least have a casual trans acquaintance. And I don't mean "their barista at Starbucks." I mean, you know their name and they know yours. It's a small nitpick but I think it's worth saying.
1) very few people know trans people personally, so very few people care that much about trans issues 2) most people who care a ton about them are GOPers who don’t trust any Dem on trans issues. 3) yet the public broadly trusts Dems more on trans issues 4) Dems don’t win votes by being anti-trans

Like, I don't think you can know young people without knowing someone gender non-conforming or trans and you might just not know they are nby or trans identifying because they are young and it's not as obvious but try talking leading any youth org. And that's before we even get to adult friendships.
Agree with this but this season 75% of the Honey Crisp and adjacent varieties have been flavorless to the point where I'm wondering if there was too much rain and crops sucked?
different varieties of apples. when i was a kid back in the stone ages, we had red and gold delicious (both mealy trash apples) and granny smiths (terrible to eat, good for baking). now, you're overwhelmed the good choices of sweet and delicious apples.
Jfc, they are resting their Ohio Gubernatorial campaign on "this multiple time convicted felon who lost custody of her kids and neglected her pets *in 2021* says you shouldn't vote for Amy Acton."
JD Vance, soon: Can you really trust a candidate whose mother killed kittens? How far from the tree could the apple really have fallen? www.mediaite.com/crime/amy-ac...

Ramaswamy stooge Connie Luck claimed we "don't know what happened with Dr. Acton and her mother." Yet the historical record is clear, and Ramaswamy is platforming the mother who stayed married to Acton's rapist in a desperate attempt to save his political career. www.rooster.info/p/amy-acton-...
I've seen some skepticism on the "drags down the entire GOP ticket" conversation and I think people are missing why this is true. Many Ohio GOP voters dislike Vivek. Because racism and healthcare billionaire. They already think Brown is going to win, they are running out of reasons to even show up.
i don't think i've ever seen a campaign do a murder-suicide before (decent chance this drags down the entire GOP ticket in the state)

Vivek Ramaswamy has now acknowledged the ad came from his campaign and doubled down announcing a $4 million ad buy for it. ohiocapitaljournal.com/2026/10/20/d...
The Rooster reported that this attack ad on Amy Acton was being polled. That's why it doesn't have a disclaimer. The ad was leaked by somebody, not put on the air as far as we know. The biggest journalistic question right now is verifying who paid for it.
"wealth inequality" is an imperfect term. Wealth inequality is fine. It's wealth concentration that is the problem. It's the fact that capital produces more capital at a rate that labor cannot match, which creates accelerating wealth concentration. Still, I appreciate the sentiment.

Even in the ad where Vivek pays the estranged mother of his opponent to bash her, he can't get the octogenarian to actually *endorse him.*
Wrote last week on The Rooster about Conman cutting an ad with Amy Acton's estranged mother as his "October surprise." Well, here it is. Polling on it just went out.
Absolutely no one is going to be swayed by this. There are 0 people who were going to vote Dem and change their mind because of this, and no swing voters for whom this is their top issue who weren't already voting GOP. This is a gargantuan waste of money for whatever PAC did it.
Team Paxton appears to have sent out fake mailers to Texas voters impersonating a trans student group and claiming to want to help kids secretly transition. The actual group said they had nothing to do with it, despite the mailers copying their aesthetic, and the address traces to a random UPS box.
You don't actually have to nationalize it and probably can't. But you can threaten it with such severe consequences that you force a sale to someone more friendly. It's not the first time we've been dependent on a private business for our military by any means.
We've got to nationalize SpaceX. We have no choice. We can't operate our military without them and we can't trust them to serve our national interest. There is literally no other option.
That '97 puck drop brawl is one of my most enduring memories as an Avs fan. God I hated those Detroit teams. Too bad Detroit sucks too much to count as a rival anymore.

My daughter once got Tajin on grilled cheese at a food truck and now it's the only way she will eat grilled cheese. I've done it and I agree it's pretty damn good. But I'm not sure it's better than the classic.
our parrot has decided he loves campbells tomato soup. since he can only drink like, a shotglass full of it, we always have a bowl (minus one shot) of tomato soup leftover. because of this i have perfected my grilled cheese procedure:
