Things were doing well for the past 2 years, especially when I had a job for about 10 months. Unfortunately, the money has run out and I've been skimping on gas & electric. Well, now I have a turn-off notice. I need $4463.07 by September 8, 2026.

NEW: buried in anthropic's hefty ipo documents released yesterday is an interesting admission: the company's increasing reliance on dirty gas to power its data centers is actually exposing it to financial risk wrote about it for @wired.com www.wired.com/story/anthro...

Granted he laughed at them too, but he was still "doing his job" Be careful out there folks, they're investigating shitpost now.

Out for a walk looking at all the regular houses. Certainly no deranged wizards would be secretly living in this neighborhood

During the first half of the marathon, PJ collected pictures of the crew's meals, with consent, of course. Anyways, I (also PJ) would like for you to vote for your favourite amongst each pairing. Thanks!

I kind of agree with this on a case-by-case basis, and as long as it's not used for AI training (sadly it will be). I don't like how Discord replaced forums as sources of information, and it seems they're trying to mitigate this. Again, case-by-case basis, though. My server will not use this.

Honestly: One of the reasons forums were so good for the internet in the long term was there being so many hobbyist ones, where problems get asked and solved and archived so you can search "I have a 50G fish tank that turned green what to do" and find a post someone made about it

NEW: Remedy's latest game, Control Resonant, is filled with art galleries. The galleries are filled with real art When I began talking to Remedy about it, I was delighted to discover who the artists are: many are the game developers' parents My story... www.gamefile.news/p/control-re...

The art dept never really dealt with the problem of the word "Saturdays" having "TURD" front and centre.

A lesson here is to challenge your assertions. Me: “The most likely culprit for the TV turning itself on is HDMI-CEC, but I don’t want to have to use multiple remotes.” Testing whether that “but” was true would’ve been easy to do, and there was no risk to it, but I took it for granted. Mistake ☝️🧐

China’s first AI-generated theatrical feature has flopped, earning just $181,000 in its first weekend. By contrast, the scrappy ‘Niu Lai’ turned its crude animation into a viral attraction, grossing nearly $10 million a couple of months ago. www.cartoonbrew.com/box-office-r...

Please consider signing this petition. Salmon aquaculture in Ireland is polluting coastal waters, contributing to the collapse of wild salmon and driving overfishing for its feed – all despite organic labelling. And is a future we want? Chicken-remnant-fed fish? swanireland.ie/take-action/...

It's ridiculous that CEOs require millions of dollars in compensation when most employees under them are living paycheck to paycheck. So many problems in this world are caused by greed.
