I don't understand this issue. 0.5 seconds or whatever is really negligible for me, personally. I wouldn't consider that a delay. Depends on the use case maybe 🤔

You have to boot the app, then run some rpc to it. It's not snappy at all and imo not usable for user interfaces. However if it's going to run persistently, then I have no problem. But I've explored this for my own system and found the delay undesirable. Same reason I don't run python tools.

I'm sorry, I'm new to bluesky, but usually on the internet/IRL that's how people have a conversation :P they agree with each other or disagree with an example :P you can say, for example "Pascal! such an awesome language!" or "I wonder if there's something else that we missed". You're welcome!

- CLI tools - Offline mobile applications - Tight loops - Internally mutable algorithms (ex. cryptography or VMs) - Process isolation

I'd still argue that for number crunching, LLM training/inference and Jupyter/Marimo Notebook style development other languages/platforms are better suited. Unless something has drastically changed in BEAM/Elixir land that I am not aware of.

As someone who was starting from scratch, I wasn't really able to put together an ML model that was remotely accurate in Elixir, while I was able to do so in Python. This is coming from knowing nothing about machine learning models. It might be easier if you already know the fundamentals?

(would like to clarify that I love elixir and would greatly prefer to use it compared to most other languages where possible)
