A funny and fun thing happens when I put the robe on. Without meaning to, I stand up as straight as I can, and I feel legitimately cool. As Lester Bangs says in Almost Famous, "Oh, dude, they made you feel cool, and you are not cool."

wilwheaton.netSpoiler: Wil Wheaton is a WizardI am holding pink pages in my hand, reviewing them before I collate them into my script. A magic battle ensues between Wil and Bert (fireballs, energy bolts, conjured beasts, etc.) I look at the script again, to make sure I haven’t misread it. Yeah, it really says fireballs, etc....

I'm not a tattoo-haver, so "do you own it?" really caught me off guard. I will have to ask my kids about theirs. I will bet my sons don't (one has a Legend of Zelda sleeve, the other a TMNT sleeve) but my daughter has one made from her grandmother's handwriting and a couple other small ones.

I just wanted to say that a) that robe looks *very* wizardly b) Wil IS legit cool c) Kyle Newacheck directed my friend Anthony in Toronto and Wil isn't making it up, he really is that good

Hey Wil, I dont know if you got a auto card in the new Magic Star Trek set, but if you did and I dont see you at a gaming thing, is there a place to send it? Whatever it costs, self addressed envelope, all fine. Thanks! Forgive my ignorance of previous signing policies.

Cool is just the word people use to describe someone who appears to be comfortable in their own skin. If wizard robes are what makes you feel comfortable in your own skin, then you should wear them. (To clarify, I'm not talking about actual skin, and 'your own' is key. Just say no to necromancy)
