I really need to start doing fewer things at the same time. It’s not healthy, and I’m not really “faster” this way. Been working concurrently on 4 different PRs for days and it’s killing me 💀

I have the same issue. Would be very interesting to hear from people what the do to overcome this issue. How do you stay focused while waiting for the AI? If the answer is more concurrent PRs, then how do you switch fast between them? Can the agents be made significantly faster or reliable?

This seems to happen to me because of 2 things: 1) Claude being slow on larger tasks 2) A task needing feedback on someone else So fire up a nth agent while waiting for the blocker to resolve.

yes, this is mostly it. codex is faster but waiting for feedback from peers and those never stopping AI review comments make me go switch a lot

I fall into this trap all the time. I end up with many in flight PRs, inching each along slowly. It stresses me out, and as you say it's no faster. I need to be stricter about capping my workload

I get into the that boat these days too. @anirudh.fi @oyster.cafe you mentioned the same. I feel like this needs some non-tech solutions like the pomodore timer approach (work focused for 20-25 min at a time with forced breaks etc). Need some equivalent of those blinders you put on horses haha.

These days, I find it necessary to force myself to focus on one thing at a time... It is much better to cross the finish line with one thing than to have multiple unfinished things at the same time. Easy in theory, hard in practice. Especially with agentic development.
