I need help from @svelte.dev @storybook.js.org users. We're considering adding support for stories extending other stories, with partial overrides where necessary. Would this be a big deal to you or not at all? How would a syntax like this work for you? Would you like something else instead?
With the help of @paolo.ricciuti.me we landed on something a lot simpler and more elegant. π github.com/storybookjs/...

If you're feeling adventurous, you can try this out in the recent prereleases of Storybook 11! It comes with an automigration that _should_ take care of everything for you. $ npx storybook@next upgrade Appreciate any feedback, real-world QA is super valuable at this stage! π
... because Svelte CSF finally becomes part of core! ππ In the near future you won't need the the addon at all, @storybook/svelte will handle .stories.svelte files just fine. :) This is just one of the improvements we're working on for Svelte for Storybook 11. π€

This Thursday we'll be discussing about Visual Regression Testing using @vitest.dev and @chromatic.com. Join me and @kylegach.com to hear how you can get VRT that's stable across your whole team, not just on your local machine. πΈ
@vitest.dev already renders your components in a real browser. Now you can visually test them there, with no test code changes. ποΈ @ariperkkio.dev, the Vitest core maintainer who built our new plugin, is doing a live walkthru with @kylegach.com to show you how. ποΈ Save your spot π

My first open source release: storybook-events-inspector. If your design system's public API is its events, "did it fire, and with what?" is a question the browser makes weirdly hard. This Storybook panel answers it for every story, with zero setup. github.com/Nubville/storybook-events-inspector

MSW add-on for Storybook is downloaded 1,539,807 times per week! That makes it one of the most used add-ons in the entire Storybook ecosystem. Pretty wild. And with the latest release, it's the best way to mock the network in your stories, too. github.com/mswjs/msw-s...

@storybook.js.org has been a great companion for working with agents, reviewing the UI components agents made, and making sure components stay pure and stateless. (I have to admit that, as a human, I was too lazy to write stories, but with agents it actually creates a pretty good feedback loop)
I've followed along as @ariperkkio.dev has been building this with the team, and I've been super impressed with what everyone was able to achieve here. Visual Regression Testing for Vitest is good now.
Chromatic for @vitest.dev Browser Mode is live. π§ͺπΈ Browser Mode runs your component tests in a real browser. Now Chromatic checks how those components look by capturing the rendered UI. No new screenshot assertions. No second suite to maintain. π§΅Β (1/4)

The Danish Gambling Authority has blocked "not gambling" Polymarket for providing gambling services without a license. One of the things I'm most proud of about the Danish culture is the No Bullshit mindset. "Well if you read the letter of the law" always looses to common sense, and I like that.

So please, please stop using AI this hard when it comes to writing. I'd rather read typos than a thousand em dashes. I'd rather read boring or broken english than soulless catchy phrases. I want to read what _you_ have to say. I want to see the human behind the text.
Can someone who's an expert in Web Components and CEM help me make sense of these download numbers? AFAIK web-component-analyzer is the old one, and @custom-elements-manifest/analyzer is the new one, but the old one is taking off, even with no new releases for 3 years? npmx.dev/compare?pack...
If Storybook could only support one of these outputs, which should it be? Shamefully tagging @davatron5000.bsky.social and @passle.dev as my WC gurus.
This is a pretty cool workflow for auditing a design system or app with Storybook, generating reports of unused components, inaccessible UI, etc., super impressive! evilmartians.com/chronicles/s... @en.sitnik.es do you think you can introduce me for some collab? ππ

A friend's company is looking for a senior developer to work on their Django/Svelte application. Full-time remote on a small team where you can make an impact. https://hello.fundamatic...
I second all of this! The Barcelona conf was a fantastic experience to me, this isn't like any of the other tech conferences, I promise. Can't wait to see you all there! π
So excited for this β the Svelte community is so fun and idiosyncratic and welcoming and if this is anything like the last two conferences it will be an absolute blast. And Ljubljana is lovely. Submit a talk idea! Join the list! Would love to see you there
