in terms of like raw graphics processing yeah sure whatever there are still plenty of PS4-era games that hold up beautifully but imo the widespread adoption of SSDs is almost worth the existence of the PS5 generation on its own

PlayStation will continue going down and down and down and down until eventually they have bare minimum of a fan base left it seems tht way stocks are skyrocketing too the bottom of the ocean

I genuinely don't understand what the plan is for Sony going forward. The last estimate to build a PS6 was roughly 1000 dollars and they ain't selling that shit at a loss ever. What games could they possibly release that'll make the masses pay a 1500+ entry fee?

Not to mention that if the PS6 is like $1000, and the cost of production never goes down or even keeps going up, I don't see that thing outselling the PS5 even if they magically kick it into high gear and release a pretty good exclusive like every month or two the way that Nintendo does.

I think console producers in general should just come to terms with the fact this technology has plateaud now. Nowadays, getting a better machine just means throwing out more money for extra luxuries.

Unless they roll back the "no disc" thing I'm pretty much done with non-Nintendo consoles at this point tbh. Especially since playstation exclusives basically aren't a thing anymore, I'll just keep riding my 3070 until the fans blow out

I tested it for shits and giggles and the word ps6 actually sounds like psx, makes it even more complicated for anybody that knows about the japan exclusive psx or calls the playstation 1 psx

Been saying this for months. Don’t make consoles that you won’t be able to sell for 2% extra pixels and worse games made by developers less practiced with it. But nope they feel the need to catchup in the foot-shooting race Xbox has been having all on their own.

There's probably gonna be in the next two years. It's been nearly six years since the PS5 released.

There's no reason for a PS6. We haven't even reached peak capabilities on the PS5. I don't even think we hit it on the PS4. We need another decade on the PS5 bare minimum. It only has like 30 exclusive games.
