The ending to the first episode of Lanterns has upset some fans, who say that the show "definitely isn’t honoring the comics" and that it's a "garbage universe that disrespects the characters of DC." https://bit.ly/3UodudL

What happen to that character carries same feeling got for like, Star Wars EU. I'd be less feely about it if it actually got more adoptions than it did. Feels soooo soon. But figure there's a point to it.

Sure that’s fine, my problem is when people are writing articles based on one episode of a multi episode show which is intended to be an unraveling mystery as well! To me that’s just masturbating and calling it sex.

Who is saying this and how many is "some?" Your own stories provides the answer: five rando losers on Twitter. (And they are losers. I checked.) This is just the comic-book-journalism equivalent of Fox News going "some say" in an attempt to legitimize whackadoo nonsense like flat Earth.

Oh, is this Gunn's work? I recently watched his version of Superman, and I really enjoyed it. I burned out on the sulky morose Superman long long ago, and really enjoyed the way he managed to keep his take light and engaging.

This is literally tabloid journalism. Instead of reporting on, I don't know, how it has a 94% score on RT (and an 86% score from audiences), this guy decided to comb Twitter for the worst negative comments from nameless users with only a few hundred followers. My God, how IGN has fallen.

I'm a gigantic Green Lantern fan and I have to say What? Did you watch the same show as me? I don't wanna get into spoilers but these people are being straight up dumb, guaranteed many of them have never read the comics, because... its very comic booky

I bought one of the omnibus editions of the first run of Hal Jordan stuff and one of the first things he does is intentionally steer his girlfriend off a cliff. I'd say it honors the comics pretty well.

Well golly gee, I would hate to disrespect one of *six* humans Green Lantern Corp members and the only one of the six to turn evil and then come back a decade later and say "naw, see, that a magic energy bug who lies to people, I, I'm good now"

That’s hilarious people getting worked up over a show. You hear real comic book fans say stuff like “I have the Superman logo tattooed across my chest. I stopped reading Superman for 5 years because it turned to shit”. You just ignore the stuff you don’t like and savor the stuff you like. It’s easy

Booo. I have no opinion either way on this show but this headline sucks! The article probably sucks, too! Let's stop highlighting the opinions of 12 dorks online and pretending it's culture.
