After the Copycat episode (with the sick bird) I'm so curious to find out if any of the other animals in Bluey will ever talk. Also I'm completely broken up by the way they told the story, I appreciate your thoughts in this difficult time.

I just watched the Fairies episode of Bluey and I'm straight up frightened. Is there an exorcist episode coming? And in its credits does Bingo happily say, "This episode of Bluey is called Exorcist"? What is happening?

Like most things that happen to me, this feels like something out of I Love Lucy: In college I worked as a dishwasher in our dorm cafeteria for a weekend. The full time staff yelled at me to go faster in Spanish the whole time while the flash-cleaned dishes burned my hands to a crisp.

This post is unavailable.

It took me a good dozen episodes to realize the opening credits of Bluey is the cast playing a game. I just thought they were dancing and shouting their names. Wondering if this is a tell that I am not a parent.

I literally said to a friend yesterday, I want to go to the Wacker NYCC panel and wail, “Where are the Marvel women?” A very good, very well thought out introduction to his tenure.

So it’s for cross promotional cuckoo bananas—Magic The Gathering and the Darkhold. But still, to have Percy writing the thing is a great attempt to elevate it.

Just the second male creator on stage (after 40 minutes) is another banger, Ben Percy.

Fantastic. Yes.

Wacker says Peach has more story to tell. A Maestorm series coming! Peach - Maestorm is back, but maybe not in the universe she comes from. #XMen #MarvelComics #NYCC #NYCC2026 @peachmomoko.bsky.social #comicsky

Also love that Wacker is highlighting so many female creatives. Now do people of color and queer creators, please and thank you, but it’s a positive start.

I love what Wacker’s first choices to spotlight is saying about creatives he’s excited to be working with. Wilson, Simone, North are top notch writers you can build a new direction around.

“Willow pitched 5 issues and Wacker told her they're not doing that anymore. Write as big a story as you want.” Thank God.

Video from @gwillow.me. Excited to be returning to these characters. And taking Carol on her next new adventure. Willow pitched 5 issues and Wacker told her they're not doing that anymore. Write as big a story as you want. #NYCC #NYCC2026 #CaptainMarvel

This is the first year in many that I’ve been to NYCC and am not working. The reason is generally awful—ReedPop fired the Popverse staff a few weeks before the event (and is advertising for their new Popverse here, to which may I say karma is real and please enjoy).

But I keep thinking of sitting in panels about things that I knew nothing because editors asked me to and finding so many fun things and cool people to share with readers and friends. And then sitting in our area tapping away while everybody laughed or wrote or kvetched or planned. It was good. ❤️

If you love a a pop culture site, one thing that is almost certainly true is that they are paying their staff almost nothing (or actually nothing). Those writers do it for love alone. Which is so damn metal.

I loved freelancing for Popverse at NYCC and in general. The editors put a lot of trust in me and helped me believe I could be a little part of the world of comics. They also paid well, which is so so rare in this world.

I’m not sure about the Marvel Midnight comics doing origin stories—well written and drawn, just not sure how interested I am in yet another origin story —but Midnight X-Men is an absolute banger. As confident out of the gate as House of X.
