I don’t normally do this: If you’re an archivist or metadata sicko who is doing working to preserve/collect/organize TTRPG materials and/or Actual Play & you’ll be at PAXU, let me know. If there’s already something brewing I don’t need to be involved unless it’s useful. But it needs to be there.

This ALSO includes folks who do Fan Information Labor like @critrolestats.bsky.social @omenarchive.com and the like. Folks have been talking about real preservation, real improvements to discoverability. This isn’t the only or best place to gather but it’s the next one.

On fan labor, I'm an admin for @encylopediacr.bsky.social, the smaller CR wiki. We do try to approach it as an encyclopedia project, always lamenting we don't have more hands to get more finicky documentation-type projects going. I'm undecided whether I'm heading to PAXU. Maybe I should?

To be clear: there’s folks doing this work with this expertise! There’s folks (like me) who can consult on projects because we know BOTH database architecture AND what might be useful for controlled vocabulary. We don’t lack for that end. We lack awareness of their work & how to help.
