The arrival of hacking AI now makes running the latest & greatest version of any OS *mandatory*. It's the only guarantee of getting updated packages the same day if your vendor is reputable. Otherwise, "just" close the shop for a week minimum.

My team at work had two public-facing servers to handle. There's more around the place but they're managed by a separate infrastructure team. I personally had 8: 4 for me and 4 for my Mrs' business (half public-facing).
