I ordered and reviewed an order from Amazon. Friday I get an email saying I am getting a refund as the packed was returned! Gift card part already returned. I contacted amazon customer service and was told it was a system error. And I clarified would I be charged again

AI now starting to take people’s jobs. They said it would happen but didn’t think so soon Hope anyone affected can get back to work soon!

So the laptop gave in yesterday only 6 years old ! The fans are blowing and the power button is not responding. So I disconnected the battery and reconnected and it came back to life. Lots of errors in the event logs, suggests the new desktop build was a good move.

Benn watching Slow Horses and the first episode I watched I thought it was slow very slow so gave up Then I revisited it again this month and got hooked! Not sure what I like about it but it’s definitely one of the best series I’ve watched!

Well my current and only laptop has crashed but I can’t boot it. The only saving grace I did a full backup yesterday and an incremental one this morning! It’s a good job the last of my parts are being delivered this week.

I may open it up tomorrow and disconnect the battery and connect it again to see if that fixes it. Definitely doing the best thing in upgrading to a desktop.

PC Build - all parts ordered apart from ssd. On my current laptop it has two ssd drives which cost 4 years ago £127 and £157 Both now new would cost £390 and £480 That’s bonkers considering that it was 4 years ago

Finally got my record player hooked up to my Sony ULT speaker and just playing some tunes of the early 80s. My records are all scratch free! In fact they look brand new ! Plastic covers on them of them.

FOR SALE: Atari ST Colour Monitor SC1224 Tested and working. £300 Located in London, UK

I was watching TV late last night and kept nodding off and then waking up thinking where is that magazine I was just reading and then where’s that computer I was just using. Seems I had micro dreams! Is that thing?

So, after many years buying Intel processors I’m going for an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor as it seems the gap has shrunk dramatically. Depends though on what you want to do on it coupled with a RTX5070/5080 GPU

Continuing with dipping my toe into 128K, this was a crashy mess that's taken me 2 days to sort out... Gonna be a long process this I reckon 😆

The government must know full well that many people have neither the space nor the money to store extra food in their homes. It is individuating responsibility for a collective problem. As usual, it is the poorest and most excluded who will suffer from it. 🧵 www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Been working on adding an another landscape layer it’s a bit fiddly and things aren’t working out as they should. Stepping away from it until I am ready to continue the battle 😄 Meanwhile, testing ZX Boriel Basic v2 beta!
