I worry about every trans child in America, but having parents who support them is the best case scenario. It sounds like your kid is lucky to have you as a father.

A trusted friend is a trans woman. There are also many trans folks in day to day life, from beloved students to folks at the grocer's, that I know or don't know are trans. I also have mad respect for Laverne Cox & Sade's son, Izaak Theo. Trans folks are people, deserving of rights & respect.

My family can’t come back to Minnesota to see our loved ones because my trans daughter can’t safely travel to the US (even if I wouldn’t get arrested at the border for participating in “terrorist organizations” like BLM). It’s just so fucking heartbreaking. Nearly half senate dems voted for this. Every one of them have just shown that they hate me and others like me. I exist! This is my gender! And there are children like me! Trans children! This is heartbreaking and scary that this passed. So deeply disappointing

Quite a few of the usual suspects too voted for this. This kind of shit can kill any sort of momentum they've built this year. People want opposition to this regime, hopefully the ones up next year can end up facing serious primary challenges.

I'm a teacher of trans students in Texas and I'm wondering if I stepped through the looking glass and into an alternate dimension because Ted Cruz voted FOR this bill!

On of my closest friends is trans, I helped her come out, it was an eye opening experience, thank you for being a good dad, a good ally and using your voice to fight for justicd
