THIS IS WHY WE LOSE. Messaging!!! Communicate our platform issues better. Make a list. Hand it out. Top ten: Accountability Voting rights. No war. Housing. Pro choice + healthcare Schools. Living wage Expand Supreme Court De-criminalize marijuana PROTECT SSA END electoral college Ok top 11.

I thought legalising weed was a good idea until someone close to us started smoking it as a teenager, and I saw how it affected his mental health and how ge now battle with paranoia...

It's great that Talarico did the show (so at least some listeners heard the facts). But "lying about Talarico" is an epidemic. And those who don't do their homework (C tha G) are numerous.

i had no idea what Delta 8 was until he mentioned it. delta-8 THC is a milder, lab-enhanced cannabinoid that offers THC-like effects with reduced intensity, if the issue is that it is not regulated, then regulate but don't ban it or make it a felony. a smooth high sounds pretty attractive right now

Why is the manosphere of podcasters and pundits who say such sloppy things, factually incorrect, and dumb things, so revered on the USA? Listening to a few of those “interviews” is like sitting in a neighborhood bar and eavesdropping on the 1AM drunks of following Aaron Rovers & Rand Paul .

Oh my goodness... legalize Cannabis!?!?! Canada legalized Cannabis years ago and look at the disaster it caused.... Crime is down Opioid abuse is down Thousands of people have jobs growing, packaging and selling Cannabis in thousands of local shops nationwide. So you've been warned! 😊😊 ---

Because an herb that enables the dopamine your body already produces has been used as an excuse for mass incarceration and subjugation since they ended slavery. bsky.app/profile/atru...

I don’t know how well prepared they were for this interview. But now i have a concern about how much in our elections are affected by people who just had their candidates backwards?

Podcasters and influencers are some of the most misinformed (or uninformed) people in the public sphere Why do they have so much influence when they get so worked about such mundane and insignificant things?

Reading through the various replies, I've come to the sad conclusion that hyperbole is apparently dead as a literary device.

Eff that! The government has imprisoned millions over something that you want to legalize and then turn around and penalize the users again! Come on. That is bullshit. Why should it be any different than any other intoxicant?

fuck that, use it for social services and education tax billionaires out of existence and large corporations who otherwise are avoiding paying taxes for the national debt - and also for social services and education

Paying down the debt is easy but our politicians are corrupt. We need to tax the damn billionaires at least 45% and implement a 1% federal tax on every stock purchase.

Agree on taxing billionaires and stock trades, but not to "pay down the debt." The national debt is just untaxed dollars sitting in private accounts, mostly the wealthy and their bankers Tax them to reclaim that power, not to fund a government that creates its own currency That's the real corruption

No, don’t give it to the government, use the funds to support schools, feed the poor, give a bonus to teachers, so many useful ways to help the citizens.

It's kind of sad that podcaster reaches a level of influence that Charlamagne has yet he or his staff didn't educate him on the political candidate's platform and public statements.

I can’t make my mind up about legalizing weed. From a personal liberty standpoint, I’m all for it. But it has done nothing good for the states that legalized it. It makes people dumber. So I think it’s better to let states decide rather than national legalization.

A new federal study reveals that nearly 44 million Americans used marijuana in 2025, compared with about 36 million cigarette smokers. Meanwhile, US alcohol consumption hits record low. Only 54% of adults now say they drink, the smallest share in nearly 90 years.

The most overlooked aspect of American politics right now is that half the country in conservatives are just dumb people. They don't know what's going on at the most basic level.

Now imagine the typical voter that pays absolutely no attention to what a candidate directly states, listening only to the uninformed or some asshole of AM talk radio or Cable news. Civics is dead in the U.S. It went out in schools after Gen X.

This is the level of our political discourse nowadays. The “media” person is really just another of the many Internet personalities with a silly name. He doesn’t know his interviewee’s position on a basic issue, but the “media” guy has zillions of followers who get their information from him…

Charlemagne is a prime example of what toxic masculinity looks like. Dude never listens, constantly interrupts guests, and says shit that was considered profoundly ignorant in 1990.

I know we can’t turn back time but I wish we didn’t live in a world where podcasters pretend to do serious political interviews. At least know his position before the interview!!

Sometimes it's good when an interviewer doesn't overstudy. We're all watching Talarico discuss these positions because he assumed with the audience, asked the question, and then let the interviewee speak.

I really respect Talerico he needs to be the next senator from Texas. Ken Paxton is so corrupt and he does it in plain sight. Don't screw this up Texas you need a good Senator you need Talerico.

The stance on legalized weed is a bellwether to how they will treat human beings over the big lobbying groups that stand against legal weed. ie Big Pharma and the alcohol and tobacco corps. Its a revenue gainer via taxation and less harmful than alcohol. No reason it should be illegal.

It’s hardly the only issue he’s campaigning on. But it’s still a major concern given that our country has the highest incarceration rate in the world and a whole lot of people in prison are there over bullshit charges like weed possession.

If it wasn’t for the US blackmailing Mexico on not legalizing weed in the 40s and see it as a health issue and not a policing issue my country would be insanely different

Republicans FEDERALLY LEGALIZED Delta 8 (HEMP) through the 2018 Farm Bill. FDA NEVER put regulations in place and for 8 years it metastasized. Cannabis (Delta 9) is STILL Federally illegal and schedule 1, BUT, legal and REGULATED in 34 states. Congress is a JOKE.

It’s stupid not to legalize it. I don’t do it, but I KNOW A LOT of older people professionals Etc that do and hide the fact . I’m in Nevada where it’s legal and it is not a issue

Fuck all the influencers. They are cancer. The right wing are an aggressive cancer and the rest are slow burning cancers you don't detect until you are already 10 years into the disease.

The educational system in the USA has a lot to answer for. I see a lack of understanding and zero critical thinking from so many of 'you'. Legalising Cannabis shouldn't be such a big deal either; but the pearl clutchers would never allow it though.

If you have this audience size and you platform a politician during a crucial time for democracy, have your shit together enough to educate yourself about their policies. That was a Joe Rogan moment

I was a HS teacher in TX for over a decade. TX drug laws are just another excuse to jail and criminalize black and Hispanic kids while letting White kids off with a warning. Meaning they will also never vote again. Connect the dots people. And of course it fuels the private prison industry.

Charlamagne can be a hot mess, but I’m glad Talarico is making the rounds. Candidates have to go on these shows and introduce themselves to the audience. That’s the only way to make your message/platform clear.

Charlamagne out here trying to make another clip the GOP can use in misleading commercials again. Maybe do 30 seconds of research before you go on air black Joe Rogan
