If only they would, Adam. I saw the statement from the heads of Italy, Germany, France, Denmark, etc., condemning any attack on Greenland, which they said wd be a NATO violation. They didn't say, however, that an attack on a NATO nation is an attack on them all, and they would respond accordingly.

The United States already has military bases in Greenland, used to have more, and could reopen them if it wanted to. There is no logical rationale national security grounds to make it US territory other than as a vanity project or to steal its resources.

Venezuela is perceived to be racialized, while Greenland is perceived to be European. The difference between Churchill and Hitler is that Churchill targeted racialized countries while Hitler targeted Europeans. The world protects Europeans. Greenland is likely safe.
