like obviously that’s an inevitability with characters that are essentially stuck in time (or where time passing is way slower for them) but it’s just odd to think. When I made these guys they were older than me, and now they are not. it changes how I view them a little. it’s slight, but it’s there

I routinely undervalue myself as an artist because I don’t put in the work my peers do, will never have the work ethic to make it a source of income, and I regularly go several months without making anything, but I need to remind myself that that doesn’t matter literally at all

it’s one thing if you need groceries and every affordable piece of produce comes from slave labor. it’s a whole different thing to actively seek to give your time and money to Harry Potter and Chick-Fil-A and FNAF. One is near unavoidable, the other is hard to even call an *inconvenience*
