Useful things for recent Xwitter refugees to know. Mostly, this looks and acts very similar to X. • You can post, reply to posts, like, repost, quote-repost, DM. • Following and unfollowing works the same. • Your profile page looks the same (but no separate field for website, location) 1/x

Cleansing your timeline with this feisty little creature who, after stalking various people’s shoes and scraps of paper, joined us for a beverage at the take-away counter of a south Bombay eatery.

For Indian readers: preorders are open for The Pictures of Darpan Ray! Here's the publisher's post: Set in a Bollywood transitioning between the multiplex and AI eras, this is a layered, dark, and wickedly funny story about friendship, ambition, and the monstrous machinery of modern stardom.

Everytime I mention that BlueSky is just not good for non-US global news and discussion, I get piled on. BlueSky is great for many, many reasons, but the rest of the world is still very much on Twitter / X. What is happening in India is *massive*.

I feel this way about all golf courses. And doubly so for the ones in cities. Bombay has two within city limits. And at least one more that I know of in the MMR. I would nationalise all of them — and the racecourse — and turn them into food forests and parks with little learning centres in them.
