Strange Aeons and CelGen is the crossover I did not know I needed until now.

In VERY late-breaking news I have been informed that due to a catastrophic and unexpected budget shortfall, the VCF MidWest Planning Committee was only able to rent four tables and a small ball pit. Load-in starts tomorrow. Good luck.

Republicans have made their election strategy very clear: 1) Islamophobia 2) transphobia 3) blatant lying 4) cheating / suppressing votes 5) throwing endless dark + corporate $$ at all the above When I see Democrats HELPING them on 1 & 2 - or barely mentioning the rest - I want to break bones.

So very much this. Bad art is still art, while slop is still slop. I'd rather see something knocked together in 12 seconds of faffing about with MSPAINT than whatever dreck someone put together with 12 hours (and 300,000 gallons of water) of 'prompt engineering.'

I’m not the first person to make this observation but the prevalence of nauseating ai-generated business logos means stuff like this hits CRAZY for me now

I’m excited to finally announce 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐎𝐚𝐭𝐡, a retro-style survival horror game set in a medieval era. ⚔️ It’s a project I’ve been working on for a while, and you can wishlist it now on Steam! (Link in the comments) A demo is coming soon!

Well past midnight and the votes continue on Bill C-22 amendments. Just amendment numbers with no discussion, no debate, and no way for the public to even know what is being voted on.

I am here for all the stories of people pointing out that the shitty people working for Bari Weiss are shitty.

Oliver Darcy got the audio of the heated 60 Minutes meeting where Scott Pelley dressed Nick Bilton down! "You know what was rude? Black Thursday. That was the absolute definition of rudeness. Telling Tanya Simon she had to be out of here at five o'clock." www.status.news/p/scott-pell...

Getting really tired of the liberal media going "oh, /this thing/ the baddies just did will surely be the straw that breaks the camels back, SURELY".

For those who don't know: If you see an academic paper newly published and want to read it, and it's paywalled, email one of the authors. They're usually allowed to give out copies, and in my experience are happy to do so if asked nicely.

100%. If it was really about protecting kids, they would be proposing "zero proof" ID verification - like how you go to the store and buy beer. (Instead, you buy a scratch card that has an authorization code; have a valid code? You showed ID to buy it, so are of age.)

First porn, now YouTube, ID checks to access the internet are creeping in. China & Russia started this way. Now their internet is locked down: no anonymity, no dissent, total surveillance. We are sleepwalking into total fascism. Don’t buy the “protect the kids” excuse. They want total control.

And now to very carefully avoid the news until the thing's decided, or, more likely, until either the more authoritarian nutjob has won OR has lost and begun shouting the quiet part rather than simply saying it at normal volume. (The quiet part hasn't been quiet for quite some time.)

You are up to date.
