Feel gutted. Been working pretty solid (coding) on a new idea ... only to find out that one of the competitors I did an analysis on .. i missed a crucial detail and I don't think I can compete anymore. The feeling of "yeah! this is a good idea!" ... and then "oh what, it's actually made". 😭

CleanTV - back to what a TV used to be ... a display device without an OS. all i need is a chromecast connected to hdmi. or a hacked chromecast if the default OOB has nasty shiz in it. And once more, we're not the product.

Coding is fun again! nope .. that's to focused... take 2 Engineering is fun again!!!!!! (not trolling). Using Claude.ai this entire year has been wild. Not all good, but recently been fine tuning my skills and getting more efficient results. Exciting == I'm now working on my three side projects!

Feels like everyone is getting AI to rewrite existing-app-or-tool into a Rust version of that same app? Ok, getting off JS/TS/PHP/PY/etc is *good*. Yay, finally people are coming to the senses! but ... Rust? It's excellent .. but so is .NET!! Surely there can be room for *both* awesome langs?

Looking forward to having a totally free version of a docker UI than Docker Desktop. - Never really liked Rancher or Podman - MS is now enabling something via WSL so maybe this will work? I'm also surprised there's no OSS equiv. Docker _engine_ is free, so why not a nice OSS UI?
