Biddy Blas is 100% going to be at The Game Awards as a weird looking puppet making fun of Geoff Keighley.

November is going to be interesting for me. By the time Grand Theft Auto VI comes out I'll be deep in my World of Warcraft Forever hole. We're going to see if the most anticipated game all of time can pull me out of my most addictive game. Truly a unstoppable force meets immovable object situation.

Am I insane or does Castlevania: Belmont's Curse just feel... *off*. I've tried both my gaming PCs and my Steam Deck and it just feels sloppy and unresponsive.

Thankfully for many players by the time they finish Fortune's Weave, the DLC will be all out.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass announced www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tDR... Wave 1: today (additional weapons) Wave 2: Holiday 2026 (additional outfits, allies) Wave 3: 2027 (new stories - Bertrand/Talimun/Orchel/Anatolia, allies, classes, and more)

I have finished Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, the longest game ever made. An absolutely ludicrous game that somehow manages to be stupidly long while also still leaving plot threads dangling. It's a great game but 120 hours is too long for anything.

My 126 hour completion time has the caveat of skipping practically all the one-on-one battles as well all the skipable sections in the middle. This already could be a 200 hour game for the absolute sickos.

Perhaps the most impressive thing is that it mostly maintains it all the way through. I was as engaged (heh) at Hour 100 as I was Hour 10. It doesn't feel like it's overstuffed with padding or filled with filler. Probably could have used an editor and be a bit more streamlined.

Upon thinking about, I came to the realisation that Nintendo made a massive 120 hour game that still feels like it's cut or missing content. It's very clear they wanted to do more but either couldn't or saving it for DLC. There's a version of this game that's like 200 hours. Absolutely unhinged.

We still got this to look forward to. This thing that is totally happening.

I love how in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave there will be characters that have absolute loyalty to whoever the protagonist is. Completely infallible. Then in the next route those same characters abandon them because you gave them three bags of coffee and took them out to lunch.

Xbox's Disc to Digital initiative is really inconsistent. Forza Horizon 6, a game that was published by Microsoft this year, does not work. WWE 2K14, a annual licensed wrestling game whose servers have been offline for a decade, does work.

I think Leda from Fortune's Weave is a shoe-in for 'Hater of the Year'. She hates her father's killer so much it bleeds over into just hating the concept of men in general. Truly an inspiration for vengeful women everywhere.

One issue I have with Fortune's Weave is that they'll show you an intriguing plot point but won't pay it off for another 20 hours in someone's else route.

Friend of mine told me that completing Part 1 of one of the routes in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave took them 40 hours. Nintendo buddy, I got other shit I wanna do this year.

Look, I love @eyepatchwolf.bsky.social but his video on the Silent Hill movies, while entertaining and well produced, was him just sort of regurgitating the same 'it's not faithful to the original' criticism over and over for 90 minutes. It speaks to my larger issue with those types of critique.

I get it. Some weirdo made a weird adaptation of something you love featuring changes you hate. I've been down that road. I watched every episode of that Halo TV show. I've been exactly where you are. But you are watching an adaptation of something so naturally there are things that adapt.

It just felt like throughout that entire thing all he actually wanted was a 'Silent Hill 2 HD Cutscenes (Full Game Video) 4K' YouTube video played in a movie theatre.

To prepare myself for the Ocarina of Time remake, I replayed Ocarina of Time and that game still has the sauce. Still an absolute treat nearly 30 years later.

I've been replaying Ocarina of Time (through the excellent Ship of Harkinian source port) and I know 'Water Temple bad' is the meme but the Fire Temple before it also sucks and it should be said more.

Apologies to the Fire Temple. Just beat the Water Temple for the first time in what had to be at least a decade and... yeah that place fucking sucks.

Even with the quality of life features like seperate camera control and mappable Iron Boots, that place is still miserable to play through.

I think it's pretty impressive that Sony made a game about a guy with giant metal claws coming out of his fists who literally slices people in half with them and made it boring.

Konami had the chance to do the funniest thing.

Pretty incredible in a ten year span go from Sony giving Kojima a blank check to Sony trying to force Kojima out the door.

I can just imagine Kojima at his desk with a piece of paper that says 'disc swapping joke' and him slamming his hands on the desk saying "my artistic integrity will not be stifled!"

I'm happy for all the Kirby and Metroid sickos but that Nintendo Direct had nothing for me that I didn't already know about.
