non-disabled people really do not talk about (because they do not experience) how fucking awful the medical system treats chronically ill patients and I haaate it. Literally just got testing that shows EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING w/ my breathing issues, and my doctor is dismissing them as "not severe"

So now I just wasted multiple SPECIALIST copays on a doctor who is not interested in treating me, and apparently does not see literally feeling like I cannot functionally breathe well (which is now backed by irrefutable data) as an issue we should maybe address beyond treatments that haven't worked

mind you part of this is also because there's some category of doctors who seem quick to dismiss that COVID/repeated viral infections can actually fuck up your body long-term because I had asthma prior to this but not with as much of these issues, especially not as consistently.

oh boy this the one time i look st this website it’s sure blowing up about Palestinian fundraising again isn’t it.

Just had this from Planet Labs, the US government have asked satellite imagery providers for "voluntarily" restrictions on access to satellite imagery. Given a lot of them provide satellite imagery to the USG we can probably guess the outcome of not acquiescing to that request.

Hearing people justify an antisemitic attack on AMBULANCES of all things is fucking gross. Even in a world where the ambulances are owned by the state of Israel itself, the whole purpose of pointing out the Israeli state's attacks on ambulances is that the attacks are evil and unjustifiable.

Thusly, these attacks are also evil and unjustifiable. Especially when you consider the end result, regardless of actual intent, is that these are an attack on Jews as a whole, and WILL once again make Jewish people as a whole feel unsafe and targeted.

I think like, people really just need to take a step back and understand the actual impacts of shit before speaking on it. But also that some people v. much do understand these impacts and are just antisemites trying to use palestine as a cover for that antisemitism.

Yet another reason why KOSA (and its ilk) are inherently queerphobic laws and anyone who supports them - from either party! - needs to be run out of office yesterday.

I was able to connect with other trans people for the first time in my life. I discovered that people actually liked my writing on Twitter. I was able to build my career on Twitter. Twitter changed and probably saved my life.

I'm not here to argue over whether the initial comment crossed the line. I'm just here to point out that any person calling themselves Mueller, They Anything would be harassed for that shit because it is 2026. This pisses me off so much. Performative bullshit. It is insulting.

AIPAC needs to be dismantled

Matthew Eadie@mattheweadie.bsky.social

This is AIPAC's first public acknowledgement of its #IL09, saying the group is disappointed with Laura Fine's defeat, but "especially proud to help defeat Abughazaleh."

watching misogynistic men trash on kat, who ran an amazing campaign full of shit that dems should've embraced decades ago (not even just policy - in form and function) is really something.

"This does not mean that this last year has been for nothing," @katmabu.bsky.social speaks to the crowd for the first time in Andersonville tonight, conceding her race for Democratic nominee for U.S. Congress to Evanston mayor Daniel Biss.

Every time a woman runs for president I hear that she’s too emotional and unstable to make wartime decisions, unlike the men in charge who make really reasonable decisions like bombing kids to death, starting water wars, and poisoning the entire planet

the dumbest form of politics is yelling at voters after you lose. if you lose it is *always* your fault. every confounding factor in the universe is your job to overcome. if you take a position that is unpopular and don't adjust to learning that, you are bad at running for office.

i don't want to hear any of you fucks glazing the slackjawed governor of california after this. ik he had minimal to do with this specific matter but his messaging is part of the fucking problem.

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com

BREAKING: SCOTUS shadow docket decision rules in favor of forced outing of trans students, reinstating a lower court ruling against California's law prohibiting forced outing. Also references forcing teachers to misgender trans students. Horrific precedent. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

Torturing trans women prisoners by executive fiat, and doubling down on said torture as soon as they attempt to fight back. This is what trans genocide in the USA right now looks like.

I minorly feel bad for OpenAI PR if they exist because god sam altman is just digging a fucking crater right now. OTOH everyone is getting live insight to the mind of one of the evil fucks responsible for genAI and it's not looking good so go off.

not spoken from experience at all but it is really hard to do your job when the important people simply do not listen to your recommendations, and i cannot imagine anyone in PR is not telling this man to shut the fuck up pronto.

There is absolutely no reason for Sam Altman to say anything but he is currently digging the biggest hole possible, responding to all and sundry on Twitter. This is the worst possible statement he could have given!

There were def people in Washington who advised Trump not to do this, basically saying, "hes 90, hes had cancer twice, hes going to die soon anyway. Dont make him a martyr for the cause". He didnt listen.

Ali Ahmadi@aliahmadi.bsky.social

The Supreme Leader insisted on not taking special security measures even though he knew the attacks were about to start and was killed in his home. He wanted to die this way. The concept of martyrdom is an extremely potent, galvanizing force in Shia and Iranian culture.

I gotta say, being like "I support trans rights, BUT" while the government is making it impossible for trans people to *survive* is actively helping the government get what they want. And I don't think I've ever seen a legitimate critique follow, it's just repeating more anti-trans propaganda

Hey hi this is purely a genocidal attempt at erasure of trans people from public life. I need cis people to realize this is exactly where republicans are at right now, and act accordingly for fucks sake (e.g. not whatever @gavinnewsom.bsky.social's dumbass is saying/doing abt this).

This has been said before by many people but one of the things that pisses me off about Newsom types is like, ok fine, let's say you're "right" about idpol/trans issues (you're not but) - be the change you wish to see. You have a platform. Stfu about how bad this is and talk about "tabletop issues".

It feels like Newsom is trying to position himself as "outside of the democratic core" or whatever when he is very much within that system, and has the more power out of anyone to change the course of the discourse amongst his supporters and nationally, if he just would.. use his platform to do that

I know that the strategy here is that he wants to recruit anti-idpol / anti-trans people, and he can't do that if he doesn't explicitly talk about these subjects, but nonetheless.

I feel like it's a good time to restate that my rapist was never prosecuted by the Republican DA at the time for Tarrant County in Texas, who served for 3 decades. In fact he had some of the lowest prosecution rates for SA and rape cases. Republicans have always defended rapists and predators.

Kat Tenbarge@kattenbarge.bsky.social

The complete refusal from the Department of Justice and FBI to investigate the allegations in the Epstein Files and made by Epstein survivors is also proof of what victims everywhere go through every day when authority figures refuse to do anything about what happened to them

Power Query is simultaneously very magical and good at what it does and also my personal nemesis, much like Excel as a whole tbh.

lol. lmao. this happening against the backdrop of me literally still recovering from a bad bout of the flu + a secondary bacterial infection is super amazing. the trump admin wants us to fucking die.

Edward Nirenberg@enirenberg.bsky.social

It is absolutely outrageous that Moderna’s flu vaccine was met with a “refusal-to-file” even after their approved their protocol with FDA and carried out the trial as agreed. This vaccine works better in older adults than the current flu vaccines. apnews.com/article/mode...

AOC: We are going to have to reckon, as a country, with this time. And I hope that that reckoning includes prosecution of people who are involved with the lawbreaking and human rights violations they are knowingly engaging in right now.
