Just watched Elsinore at the London Film Festival, based on the true story of actor Ian Charleston’s performance of Hamlet. Magnificent. Cracking script, mesmerising performances from Andrew Scott, Olivia Colman, Billie Piper & Johnny Flynn. Stunning direction by Simon Stone. I came out and sobbed.

A glorious morning riding around London, visiting three of the London Cycling Festival hubs - in Westminster, City of London and Tower Hamlets. The festival, with branding by We Made This, has rides, stalls and events right across the city. Great to see everyone out enjoying themselves 😁.

Holiday in the climate emergency. No that’s not AI or edited, just a snapshot I just took with my phone on Lacanau beach in France. What future will this boy grow up in? It is in our hands, but time is running out.

After more than 15 years, Hoxton Street Monster Supplies will close this Saturday. You’ve got until then to get a final jar of Thickest Human Snot! Huge thanks to everyone who worked & volunteered with the shop. And to everyone who shopped there too, and thus supported the Ministry of Stories!

While it's the end for the shop, it’s the beginning of a really exciting new chapter for the Ministry, which is moving to new premises nearby this September, with much more space to provide creating writing mentoring for young people in Hackney.

Every time this goes around I’m stunned that there are still people who’ve never seen it, this performance is to drag what the Mona Lisa is to paintings, but maybe you’ve never seen the Mona Lisa, so today is the day you shall behold it

RIP Bonnie Tyler. And RIP Tandi Iman Dupree. This remains the best stage entrance by a drag queen of all time, even some 25 years later, and the best use of Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero” ever. youtu.be/IHQA5vqn6rw?...

There are, in my view, 25 things everyone needs to understand in light of recent events: 1) Those out in our communities last night were not protestors, but organised far right extremists. 2) Their actions align with fascist ideologies. 3) So yes: these are fascist practices on our streets. 🧵

In December, I casually sent a vacation photo to Paul Lukas, a friend and fellow obsessive, because it had an inverted “H” that I knew would give him a giggle, or vex him, or both. Two months later, amazingly, these 2,000 words: www.inconspicuous.info/p/h-bomb-a-f...

LCC are pushing for the Mayor, London councils, and the Met Police to take significant action on cycle theft. With c40,000 bikes stolen each year, and just 2% recovered, it’s an urgent situation. Take a look, read the report, and sign the petition. (Campaign and report designed by We Made This)
