Actually scary how real AI video looks. Just saw a video of NYPD arresting an ICE officer. Looked totally real aside from a few tells (like this slop badge)

Next job interview I do, I'm bringing my whole pour-over setup.

Networks could really twist the knife here by airing all of JD Vance's events

No major TV network will be showing Trump cutting the ribbon on his new White House helipad today. C-SPAN also just said it's out.

My contribution to "transplants" discourse: transplants are a life-saving procedure. If you are anti-transplant you are anti-science. Go tell RFK Jr. how transplants are ruining NYC

I hear you—and I apologize. That mushroom was one of the poisonous ones, you’re right. That’s not just useful feedback—it’s you setting a boundary.

I had to look up who the Republican frontrunner is and from what I can tell her main policy positions are: -against affordable healthcare -against legalizing weed -supported insurrection

People aren't making a big deal out of this because it is assumed that Dems have no shot at this seat, but this is probably the most shocking upset of the entire primary season.

People in here will post a video of Mamdani being insanely charismatic and say “he’s just being a normal person, why can’t other dems do this??”

Bluesky's great because whenever there's a big debate on here, an expert will weigh in with facts and all of the people who were wrong will admit their error and move on

Since everyone’s arguing about speed cameras, let’s keep a couple facts in mind: 1) Research show that camera enforcement is much more popular than the media implies – in suburbs as well as cities. Lesson: Don’t conflate a few angry car owners with “public opinion.” (cont'd)

Are you a child who cannot face the consequences of your own actions? Sound off in the comments about how you hate speed cameras!

Millions of drivers across the country are encountering speed cameras for the first time, or will soon. Some don't like it, but advocates say there's clear evidence that cameras make roads safer. n.pr/4gwT62D

Always been very weird how Vivek got ultra rich but never really explains how, now we know

So... when Vivek Ramaswamy started being paraded around a few years back as a "pharma exec" I didn't know what to make of it. But apparently it's all based on bullshit: oligarchwatch.substack.com/p/how-vivek-...

ME: …and it doesn’t matter how much you love them or how carefully you protect them, eventually they disappear from your life, poof, gone. Is this all life is, this endless cycle of heartbreak and loss? MY THERAPIST: just to clarify, you’re still talking about your favorite pair of socks?

living in areas with beautiful mountain vistas is so unserious. you can gaze upon the distant snowy peaks beyond your window? act like an adult and live someplace where a nice view means a parking lot

The Michigan primary result you should really be fretting about is the Ann Arbor mayoral primary, where the pro-housing incumbent (Christopher Taylor) lost to the nimby-aligned DSA guy (Yousef Rabhi)

2016 and 2024 permanently scarred me. I don’t wanna know about the latest ballot drop. Please don’t tell me the polls were off. Even the “I’ve seen enough” jokes make me queasy

fun test of your perception of time is how you interpret the phrase "their generation" in this post

Adam B. Vary@adambvary.bsky.social

Also, having a real-life movie star couple headline your movie has been a time-honored Hollywood tradition for nearly a century. It doesn't always work, but Zendaya & Tom Holland have had a chokehold on their generation since their Lip-Sync Battle in 2017.

Washington, D.C. - Aug. 2, 2026—Protests against diaper mandates are springing up across the country as toddlers are increasingly refusing to accept the elite consensus. “Americans are tired of being told we can’t exercise our right to poop on the floor,” said the Heritage Foundation’s Bryan Blort
