Went on a lil trip with friends this past weekend to the spanish countryside (Teruel). Was a great excuse to put some mileage on the camera...

There are some bugs with the FlyK EE version, mostly problems with the 1st and 2nd boss in hard mode, I'll try to patch them before bed but at least the game is not crashing like crazy, this is mostly fine.

big news for FlyKnight fans (me) but yeah new update, and it seems like one of the rare examples of a meaningfully different NG+/hard mode, excited to check it out store.steampowered.com/app/3108510/...

My only gripe with FlyKnight was that it was a little short. Now there's a whole remixed second loop with new enemies and weapons and stuff. And it's still £5.

Update is out. FlyKnight Enhanced Edition is discounted at 30%, 4.16€, its lowest pricepoint yet. Gather some fellas this weekend and beat it, if you can.

Felt like a peasant in the middle ages seeing the world ending for a sec there, genuinely insane stuff to witness.

Now that Next Fest came and went I feel like I should make a blogpost about why a lil gamefeel polish takes almost no effort and goes a long way... The one time I tried to talk about it in a limited bite-sized format I did a poor job. But I feel it's important, many demos need it desperately.

While Unreal Engines sloppafication process does not surprise me, they are a publicly traded company after all, I find extremely estrange this idea of needing to make your game part of Fortnite to succeed. This is not a solution for the industry, very unhealthy long term, what is Timmyboy smoking.

My conclusion to this ordeal is that they looked at Blockchain games and thought "This is the future, but these games suck, what if we did this but like, good" Previously they had the engine, Fortnite and the store going on, but now all the eggs are in the Fortnite basket, it must succeed or die.

Completed my PS2 Fromsoft Dungeon Crawler collection (Maybe I could add Evergrace someday if I play it and like it (not very likely)). Included are the 3 JP versions and 2 terrible EU versions, particularly happy that I found KF4 and STA while thrifting, no shade on ER though, it's a p solid game.

3DS-styled environments for my action game Moulder, with a big focus on vertex coloring. Inspired by the Zelda remakes. #Moulder #Godot #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiegame #indiegames #Pikmin #MonsterHunter #Soulslike #screenshotsaturday

If you're not the spellcasting type you can use your slots to equip Chitin Charms, a throwable gadget that also apply status effects on your foes, ideal for a rogue/ranged type playstyle. (Work in progress for the FlyKnight Especial Edition update)

New weapon type for FlyKnight: Wands I want to empower players that enjoy spellcasting and wands are a way to, not only do some damage, but recharge your mana inbetween spellcasts. Of course if you whip it out to enemies that are weak to magic it kind of shreds on its own lol.

I'm not a solo-dev I may have called myself a solo-dev years ago, before Sorceress' Kickstarter but it has long since not been the case. Yes I make my games and I have authority about what goes into them but calling that "solo" is disrespecting the work other people put in them.

In fact it's very likely that your favorite solo-dev wasn't solo as well, you can always check the credits to make sure. We tend to fetishize the idea that a single person made a game, and it's a rare and praiseworthy endeavor, but please fact-check before throwing the tag around.

Anyway thought I'd let you know, been having this conversation lately as it has been a common topic amongst my peers and my uncomfort with this topic has grown.

Coolest FlyKnight collectors item you can get your hands on, includes a few pieces of awesome art and of course the jaunty tunes made by Michi.

Completed my Hoenn dex today, including this little guy, which I never had as a kid. Yes, had to play a baby game to get it, it's fine, I survived.
