Desktop files in XR, available as if they were on the device itself, no tinkering, just interoperability. (Used CopyParty to make a WebDAV server then just opened its URL on Dolphin on the Frame, nothing installed on the device, worked out of the box.)

Our spluperdiboops are also available in wax chocolate, eggplant, and third place. Ask your fugue state if spluperdiboops are right for you.

Render layers are a neat tool to have. We can create stark or opinionated lighting rigs with them. The bottom example has two spotlights with wide cones, each targeting a separate layer, allowing me to get the visual effect I was after without the light flowing behind the wall.

This is how I ended my presentation at OhioXR. I focused on visionOS as a computing platform. It was a rapid-fire showcase of features, capabilities, and real-world use cases. My objective was to show people a glimpse of what's possible on this platform, to spark some ideas.

Remnants, a 27-minute ghost story directed by Ti West, is coming to Apple Immersive Video next Friday (Oct. 16). FYI: Ti West directed an episode of Widow's Bay too.

What's wrong with you? Why can't you just be hyper-fixated on a niche technology for 10 years like a normal person?

I don't think I've ever gotten more excited reading an acronym than ULID (Universally Unique Lexicographically Sortable Identifier) 🥵

Of course, compulsory Blender flythrough video. Still a lot of work to do on this space. I started adding in a few stylized materials on the floors and walls. I need to rethink the stairways and the railings around the upper floors.

So I've been building the Apple native video editing app of my dreams No projects, no libraries, just drop in files, trim, crop, add AI captions, export and get out. On macOS, iOS, iPadOS and Duo And I'm calling it – against my better judgement – Trimothy TestFlight link👇

Setting aside my terrible animation clips, I'm learning a little bit more about Animation Graph. I can use some basic inputs to have Clownbear Gymbro animate between idle, walk, and run. Then I can trigger jumps that will blend (badly) with whatever state he was in at the time.

We just announced Xogot Modeler. Inspired by Unity’s ProBuilder, it lets you build levels in your 3D Godot scenes. Create geometry, extrude meshes and more without leaving Xogot. Check out @migueldeicaza.bsky.social's blog post for the full story, with lots of demos: blog.xogot.com/xogot-modeler/

I don't think I've touched an animation graph since 2018, so I'm a little rusty. Slowly piecing things together in RCP3. ✅ Character USDC file, with skeletal rig ✅ Separate animation files ✅ Animation library component on an entity ✅ Animation graph to blend states

Everyone else is making super impressive stuff with AI agents and 3D tools. I'm just over here making nightmare fuel. Meet Clownbear Gymbro
