Just a reminder we have a discord server! discord.gg/BYQ4fHyXT We also recently created a roomy.space! roomy.space/did:plc:jefm... Lets have some more discussions on what folks would like to see from VoxPort! You can also message us on @germnetwork.com ger.mx/api/card/fet...

We’re back, and sharing what’s happening inside VoxPort! 🎙️ Your show should only be importable by you. So if your current host marks your feed as <locked>, our import flow now asks you to verify ownership first. It’s a quick email code, and then you’re in.

Been MIA the past few days.. brewing up ideas 🎙️ Remote recording is coming together: invite a guest, everyone gets their own track, and you land straight in the editor when you hit stop. Not ready for everyone yet, but it's getting real.

We’re opening VoxPort remote recording to a small group of podcasters first, about 20 people. If you record interviews or co-hosted shows and want to help shape it, reply or DM us.🎙️

Remote recording is almost ready for early testers! Not quite there yet, but if you want in, reply or DM me and I'll add you to the list. All you need is someone to record with, and they don't need an account.

VoxPort@voxport.live

Coming to VoxPort: remote recording! Send your co-host or guest a link, see and hear each other right in the browser, and the recording flows straight into your episode. No extra apps, no file juggling. Building it now. Want to help test it early? Reply and I'll add you.

Sound check before the take: device picker, live dB meter with peak hold, clipping warning, then a countdown rolls you in. Ten seconds of setup beats an hour of "why does this sound like 💩." Test your levels before you start. 🎙️

Huge thank you to every creator recording, publishing, and importing on VoxPort. You're taking a chance on something new and built on open standards. Your shows are what make this place worth building. Here's to many more episodes! 🎙️💚

voxport.liveVoxPort — Record, Publish & Own Your PodcastAll-in-one podcast studio in your browser. Record with pro tools, publish to Apple & Spotify via RSS, and own your audience with AT Protocol identity. Free to start.

Happy International Podcast Day 🎙️ Podcasting was built on an open standard: RSS. Nobody owns it. That's the whole point. VoxPort brings that same idea to your identity. Sign in with your atproto account, record in the browser, publish an open feed. Your show goes where you go. voxport.live

Happy International Podcast day! (and use @voxport.live to atprotify your podcast!)

"What if VoxPort shuts down?" Your DID is yours. Your records are on your PDS, readable by any ATProto app. Your feed is plain RSS 2.0 with a stable GUID. The honest gap: your audio is in our storage(we're working on this) and you'd have to migrate it. Everything else already isn't ours.

What's the one thing your podcast host doesn't do that would actually make you switch? Not a nice-to-have, but the thing you've complained about out loud more than once. Building in the open, would rather solve real problems than invented ones.

atstore.fyiVoxPortProtocol-native podcast publishing where creators own their audience.

Ownership Audit #1: your show should have an identity that isn't your host's. On VoxPort that's your ATProto DID: you sign in with it, and your show's records live in your own repo. For the RSS world, hosted shows now also get a permanent podcast:guid tag. Is there one in your feed?

VoxPort reposted

VoxPort is now verified on AT Store. This creator first podcast platform lets you publish once and distribute everywhere while keeping full ownership of your audience through AT Protocol. @voxport.live

RSS Import reads your existing feed and creates your series + episodes as drafts, pointing at your current host's audio. Your files stay where they are, nothing publishes until you say so. Video feeds get the audio extracted. Try us without moving in.

Ever lost a recording because your browser crashed? Or had to wait for an upload just to hear yourself back? VoxPort fixes both. Record in your browser, play it back instantly, and your take is saved even if the tab closes. No downloads. No hourly fees. 🎙️

22 Sept

👋Let's reintroduce ourselves! We're VoxPort, a podcast platform built natively on ATProtocol. Sign in with your handle(DID). Episodes write to your PDS as live.voxport.podcast.episode. RSS 2.0 out the other side. Record in the browser, publish once, reach both worlds. Free while we build. 🎙️

After the recording is ready, the next step should be publishing, not exporting into another system. VoxPort lets creators record in the browser, publish episodes, and generate RSS from the same workflow. voxport.live

15 Sept

🎙️Before you hit record, plan for interruptions. VoxPort auto-saves your session and includes crash recovery, so a crashed browser won't cost you the recording. Start recording, import your existing podcast, or upload your recordings from other tools! voxport.live

14 Sept

I think the useful part of a browser-based podcast studio is not the browser. It is fewer handoffs: record the episode, publish it, and distribute it. One workflow. That is what VoxPort is built for.

Curious about VoxPort but not ready to re-upload years of audio? You don't need to! VoxPort can bring your existing show into our Discovery Lounge.

11 Sept

We link to your current host's audio and give you a VoxPort presence, listener pages, and ATProto records, without downloading or re-hosting a single file. Move your episodes and shows over later, when you're ready.

10 Sept

How many apps do you need to get one episode released? Record in Riverside. Edit in Descript. Upload to Buzzsprout. Nav to social media, write your post, attach the link, hope the cover art shows up right. The apps mentioned are great tools, but the headache of juggling them can be rough.

10 Sept

VoxPort collapses that into one browser: record -> clean up (noise gate, normalize, also some newer features to come in the future) -> drop chapter markers -> publish -> auto cross post to the Atmosphere. No exporting a file just to re-upload it somewhere else. One tab. Not five different tools.

holy cow ! 1 more follower and we will have 3000 !

Podcasters are often asked to trust many platforms with their show. Here's where VoxPort stands: during our initial launch (currently), we are free to use, no credit card required, and we host your audio and generate your RSS feed from day one.

We know this won't be possible forever. We'll be upfront as pricing evolves. No surprise paywalls on features you already depend on. We're also thinking through monetization for podcasters. Tips, memberships, ways to actually pay creators. More on that soon! Happy Podcasting!! 🎙️😄

If you've recently checked us out and have any feedback. Feel free to message us here or submit a report within VoxPort. We would greatly appreciate any feedback 🙏
