With the latest #VRChat update, VRCStreamer now works on Quest/Android! 🎉🎉🎉 The next step is getting the public servers allowlisted in VRChat. Please upvote this feature request: feedback.vrchat.com/feature-requ...

Made a browser-based low-latency audio streamer for #VRChat because apparently I enjoy deleting tiny annoyances from existence. No app install. Pick a tab or mic, copy link into a video player, done. also open source btw Link: vard.cc/vrcstreamer/

At the end of the day, I just wanted to apply basic audio filters (low/high pass, reverb) to AudioSource. Since VRChat doesn't support filters on AudioSources with AVPro, I ended up writing an Udon script that copies the audio data to a regular AudioSource, where I can apply them

I really enjoy working on this project, and it's awesome to see people actually using it. I also want to be a bit more open about where the project is going, so I put together a small list of what I'm planning to work on next: www.patreon.com/vard/posts/f... #VRChat

2.0 is here! Featuring experimental screen sharing, along with many fixes and stability improvements. Unfortunately, screen sharing is currently available only for self-hosted servers because it's too expensive for me to support it on the public one. I also...

I also opened a Patreon page to try to fund a much bigger public server in the US that could theoretically handle up to 5,000 audio connections(streamers+listeners) or around 1,000 video connections. Lets see how it goes: patreon.com/vard

I'm working on a lightweight, open-source TopazChat alternative that runs in the browser. Looking for a few people to stream/listen so I can collect error logs and fix things. If you want to help test it, here's the link: vard.cc/vrcstreamer I'd really appreciate it. No cool design this time 😅

The thing with vrc light volumes is that people have seen this kind of things before, but they don't realize how much faster it is compared to other solutions. You can easily use this in android quest 2 worlds with very little performance penalty.

I'm working on a new major VRC Light Volumes update! - Baked realtime shadows (very performant) - Animated cookies and cubemaps - Optimized area lights - No more legacy code - Almost full back compatibility with older light volumes shaders (excluding new shadows)

I recently found out that reading skills for agents is way easier than reading documentation for humans. I noticed this while checking out an UdonSharp skill by NiAka everything there is just so simple and clear

You read that right! Our next load test is coming up, and we are aiming to have 1000 users in one instance. Check out our Discord for more information! discord.gg/6m76H33XWJ see you all 8 AM Apr 20th AEST

I'm really hoping that items and accessories will eventually become UGC just like avatars and worlds. I understand that VRChat needs to sustain itself and generate revenue, but I also think it's important to keep what made VRChat so special - its community-driven creativity.

It would be great to hear a clear "YES - we will make items and accessories free to make and upload"

omg I just saw people making swastikas out of googly eyes. I'm both amazed and horrified by people's creativity

When SDK3 launched, I had to relearn how to make world scripts. After a while, I finally got the hang of Udon Graph... only to realize it’s basically as hard as learning U# itself. I wish Udon Graph were more beginner‑friendly. Then CyanTrigger wouldn’t have been necessary in the first place

I’m so hyped for the new shiny VRC Light Volumes! Here’s an example of a working Fake LTCGI based on Light Volumes

VRC Light Volumes AudioLink support! Just imagine VRChat clubs using this! Minimal performance cost and buttery-smooth FPS, even on potato PCs. Thanks to @vard.cc for integrating AudioLink support

VRC Light Volumes is a next-gen voxel based baked volumetric lighting solution for VRChat, I'm working on right now! It affects avatars, dynamic props, etc. Works really fast without major overhead even on Quest. It will be fully open-source and free, so stay tuned! #vrchat #gamedev #shader
