How about instead they prepare for war against Republicans? Or corruption? Or inflation? Or war itself? Or pollution? Or fascistic police squads? Or climate change? Corporate tax cheats? Anything other than fellow Democrats trying in modestly different ways than is your ideal to make things better?

Things to enjoy on a bike ride: boats. Things to be annoyed by: stopping for the bridge to be raised, pedestrians that don't "hear" your bell, cars that don't "see" you, and, today, two dozen Amish taking up the entire path.
