I thought I posted this earlier. Guess not. Today's Modern Monday #MiLBCoD is Topps Pro Debut 2024 Nashville Sounds Jackson Chourio. This kid is going to be good for a long time, I think. Tell me your favorite story about the player, team, ballpark, etc. Especially if it's MiLB. RPs appreciated.

I have a big ask. My 9yo son is autistic and he’s been raising a betta fish he named Kevin. Yesterday He asked if he could “share a photo of Kevin with the whole world“. I don’t know if this will work, but a dad’s gotta try. Like and share if that’s your thing. Kevin says hi! 🐟👋

Hey hobby fam! Time for another Sunday #giveaway thread! If you could receive one card from another #thehobby fam member, what would it be? Keep requested cards under $30 in value. Please post cards you can give, & RT to share with others. #cardsky #generosity #cards4free

There were 102 of the 260 cards for the 1985 Leaf set in my haul today. I'll be getting my list together of what will be needed to finish the set. Does anyone have bulk 1985 Leaf 🍃 to help me out? I prefer to trade, if possible. RPs appreciated. #cardsky

@JeffPassan tweeted Outfielder Teoscar Hernández and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a three-year, $66 million contract, sources tell ESPN. The deal includes a fourth-year option for $15 million, a little more than $23 million in deferred money and a $23 million signing bonus.

Here’s my painting of Lou Gehrig in action at League Park, May 10, 1935. This was a b!tch to paint, as so many of the prints of this particular shot are overexposed and blown out—it took a while to get a proper scan to dive into. Based on the photography of Louis Van Oeyen.

Happy 55th birthday to Mariano Rivera! This painting of the man is based on what the great Anthony Causi captured with his lens on an October night at Yankee Stadium in 2004. We won’t see the likes of either again anytime soon.

"Obviously, a man who bats, say, .400, and hits only singles, is nowhere near as valuable as a man who bats .400 and hits only home runs." This was written *64 years ago* and Mr. Wallace here appears to have come up with a sort of proto-wOBA. Legend.

On this day in 1964, Brooks Robinson was named the American League’s Most Valuable Player. The third baseman batted .317, hit 28 homers, and drove in 118 runs. Here’s my painting of him in Miami during spring training of 1961, based on the photography of Arthur Rickerby.
