I'm dedicating a significant fraction of the last days of my life to teaching people better habits. I want a legacy of change, to leave the world better than I found it.
Read the linked thread. Internalize the message. A better world has to be built - it won't happen if we don't do the work.
I'm fading fast. Putting my affairs in order, coordinating with my therapist and my family, figuring out my will. I've only stuck around this long because it's so important to me to do all the good I can while I'm still here.
I can't hold on much longer.
I need this to work.
i took down my old post because of a spelling error, which is less embarrassing than losing the election and immediately having your passport confiscated because you are being prosecuted for massive corruption.
i hope Jair and Flavio grow old together in whatever prison hospital has the worst food
So here you go ... Thank you again to my friends at both BioWare and EA. To even dream in your sandbox was a privilege.

Human neural stem cells are highly vulnerable to SARS-CoV-2, including Omicron. Researchers found blocking one entry pathway cut viral entry by 75–85%. Maternal infection may disrupt fetal brain development, risking long-term cognitive or behavioural issues. Monitoring exposed kids is critical.
trans people are already compromising in this election by simply asking that our existing rights not be on the chopping block
what dems are doing now is deciding whether they actually need to negotiate with us at all
so telling us to vote to keep a spot in the tent is pretty fucking condescending
Something I learned recently (it killed a loved one) is pneumonia can start up just from you being bedbound while sick.
Breathing exercises, even just getting up and moving around, can help a lot. Pneumonia is easier to get than you’d think!
But all of that could have been avoided had people chosen to stay home while sick, to mask up and wash their hands, to remember that viral illnesses travel to countless unseen people who don’t have the immune system to muscle through “just a cold.”
Did you know that when a newborn comes to the ER for dehydration, the ER puts a catheter in them to test for bacterial infection and kidney issues?
I hope you never have to experience the screams of agony of your sick 10-week old baby getting a catheter.
For “just a cold.”
Last year I had to take my baby to the ER for dehydration at 10 weeks old because someone at my partner’s job came to work sick with “just a cold.” It passed to my baby.
Baby was crying nonstop for days because they were hungry, but they kept spitting everything up in these enormous mucous globs.
Regular reminder that when you go to things while sick, you are giving those germs to people with autoimmune disorders, you’re passing them to someone’s newborn, to someone’s elderly parents.
It’s “just a cold” to you but it can and does severely impact countless people.
I am b e g g i n g people to mask up at major cons, *especially* ones with 5-digit crowd sizes!!
Lightbox this weekend was absolutely ravaged; I’m hearing of SO many attendees and exhibitors who got sick from doing the show this year!! Please stay safe out there! 🙏 🙏
This post is taking off, so I want to crosspost @kalaelizabeth.bsky.social’s post in response. The save mass effect thing isnt just one person with one bad goal, there are people including the laid off devs too
sorry i need to publicly be a hater for a second but what do you mean the giant 230k+ signature save mass effect petition is only about the IP and not the devs that were laid off
Even though another investigation failed to find evidence of plagiarism by Black autistic professor Jason Arday, the "race realist"- & billionaire-aligned group that campaigned to malign Arday is doubling down with a "private inquiry” into his Cambridge appointment:

Check on your Arab friends (and any other brown friends while you're at it - MAGA assholes aren't known for being observant or discriminating in their targets).
I know what he said is factually untrue. That’s a secondary concern for me. What he said is blatant stochastic terrorism. It’s knowingly and intentionally trying to incite pogroms.
I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.
Between 2015 and 2025, at least 15 children in an Idaho faith-healing sect died of treatable conditions.
State law allows that to happen: Parents who say their faith prohibits giving their children lifesaving medical care can’t be prosecuted.
USPS workers’ greatest concern about Trump’s mail voting plan was a requirement that they reject ballots for an array of reasons.
“That’s not what we do. We deliver mail. We don’t decide what goes and what doesn’t.”
HUGE, GOOD NEWS: In total reversal from Friday’s stonewalling, perjury-flirting “status report,” ICE now says it has secured a one-way travel document so Ahmed Soliman can return to the US via a commercial flight. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
Just had to drop $30 on a winter coat for my niece. The school provided one, after asking her size. They provided one a size too small on for an autistic child who HATES tight clothing. Not worth a fight, I just used my food money. Paypal.me/starbroken if you can help me cover the coat AND eat.
A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women.

Extremely grateful for the $134.07 that came in today, but I remain desperately in need of $59.81 ASAP for meds, food, bills, etc. (in addition to outstanding housing payments for 3 months, which is stressful as fuck), so please donate & share, as able!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

If you're trans, maybe you have an awkward ID situation. Maybe you're nervous around cis strangers.
But this is a matter of exercising your right as an equal US citizen. Avoiding voting for fear of transphobia would mean transphobia is suppressing your vote.
So you can do this. I know you can.
You can use your ballot to express your vague anger and dissatisfaction with your options.
Write Trans Rights on every line, if you want. That's an option you have. It's a better option than convincing yourself you're doing something by staying home.
I really do think you should vote. Your actual vote is secret, but the fact that you voted is not. Being a regular voter means campaigns will try to win you over. The more trans people are regular voters the more likely it is that candidates will worry about needing to win our votes.
