In newspapers around the world, the report that Donald Trump raped Béatrice Keul in an Atlantic City hotel room commands huge headlines. In US corporate media, it isn't reported. Ask yourself why that might be. Here's the front page of today's Süddeutsche Zeitung in Munich.

A former Miss Switzerland beauty pageant contestant has accused President Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her at New York's Plaza Hotel in 1993, according to her account to Congress. Trump has denied the allegations.

I emailed Patrick Healy, assistant managing editor for standards and trust at NYT, to ask why their story about a House report with new details of rape allegations against the President of the United States included neither those details, nor a single use of the word "rape." archive.is/1s9AM

1. Not sure when a new, on-the-record rape allegation against a sitting president isn’t considered news — especially considering Trump was found liable by a jury in a similar case — but it was ignored by most mainstream media outlets

You can't expect the New York Times to give any attention to a story about the president being credibly accused of violent rape when the story breaks so close to an election. It's not like we're talking about something *really* important, like email security protocols.

Ramaswamy has produced an attack ad weaponizing the rape of his opponent, Amy Acton, when she was 12 years old. It features Acton’s mother, who abandoned Acton after she was raped by her step-father, fleeing the state with her husband. Here is the corporate money helping fund that ad.

We thought Mueller would expose him but Barr stepped in, or Jack Smith would indict him but Cannon stepped in, or Congress would impeach and convict him but McConnell stepped in, or the judiciary would stop him but SCOTUS stepped in. It’s up to us, we must step in & stop him!

Late to this Bloomberg piece on Marc Andreessen. This is one of the key things. Andreessen is *angry* about how he has been treated, when any objective observer might note he has benefited enormously from the institutions he now purports to detest. www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...

At a time in history when the most influential leaders of the U.S. need to stand up loudly and clearly for the rule of law, democracy, and decency, they are leading the charge in the opposite direction — fawning over the most dangerous authoritarian America has ever witnessed. Do not forget this.

Another obvious complete fabrication. But he knows the people in that room are hardcore cultists who believe all his preposterous lies. Wouldn’t it be great if the ABC, CBS, NBC News would ever start their broadcast with “Trump lied last night about paying for the ballroom.”

Honestly, I'd say the most disastrous decisions of Obama and Biden were not really holding anyone accountable for crimes committed under the previous administration. Obama wanted to "turn the page" on Iraq and the financial meltdown while Biden never put any urgency behind the January 6th cases

What was the most disastrous decision from the most recent presidents that had effects we feel today? Clinton: Lying under oath and getting away with it (paved way for Trump) Bush: Iraq Obama: Syria and Libya Trump I: Covid and pulling out of JCPOA Biden: Running again Trump II: Iran

The Seattle festival shooting makes SCOTUS’s Hawaii ruling look even worse. Hawaii said no concealed guns on private property open to the public without the owner’s permission. The Roberts Court struck it down 6–3. Gun rights over lives. Again.
