Another Stalker 2 appreciation post. Last night I ended up at this place. A farmhouse insulated from the rest of the zone by a weird bubble. I immediately though, oh a nice reference to the Tarkovsky Film. I was right, but it wasn't from Stalker, it was from Solaris!

Im ea big fan of these retro style rpgs, and once i got the hang of the slow pace of combat in the demo I was really enjoying it. Looking forward to seeing what else is in there!

What strikes me most about the scale of Stalker 2 is the generosity of it. I remember @v21.bsky.social talking about elden ring in the same way. So many optional areas. Its rare to have a game like this when studios feel they need every dime spent on a game must be seen by everyone.

Still enjoying Stalker2, its such a generous game, like in line with Elden ring or Skyrim in just the sheer amount of world you can explore - yet is not necessary to do so. I mean the Alife isn't as good as the OG stalker, but the environments are great.
