Sometimes Tharg. Monster. Eats fascists.
I block & report persistent beggars on social media.
There's no way of knowing whether pleas for help are genuine or scams.
I donate only to charities which are registered in the UK or help people I know.
I'm sorry if that seems harsh, @[jumble of letters & numbers] but who are you really?
#thebestwaytoeatcheese
Apart from the, ahem, bedroom use of squirty cheese, I would say "in a cheesecake" but my late m-i-l was adamant there is no cheese in a cheesecake. Of course there is.
Just thinking about how well it would go down if an actor or a comedian blamed low attendance on the admin staff from a stage on a live broadcast.
Farage is a c-unit; of course he does exactly this.
Many Americans seem aware that the choice on their ballot isn't red/blue, pachyderm/donkey or even Republican/Democrat it's 🇷🇺/🇺🇸.
Democracy works only when you partake in it so please vote if you haven't already.
@samiraahmeduk.bsky.social The Farage love-in at BBC News is, yet again, all over social media and BBC News' reputation sinks further every day.
That's what they want, isn't it? Drive the rational away, shrink the audience and justify the cuts.
BBC breakfast platforms the leader of Britain's fascist party yet again.
[Off]
I always watch it on iPlayer these days and I hope others do too so they know we all pull the plug when he shows up.
Fuck sake. Can we please just wait for the budget announcement before criticising the budget or announcing any of it.
Next you know they'll be announcing the winner of the gold balloon in advance. Oh, wait, they did that.
With Farage wittering on about imperial measurements, it reminds me of some of its madness as we were making the change, and just after.
Several decades ago, we were building a set for some show or other and I went to Jewson to buy some timber.
"Can I help?"
The 50mm x 25mm sawn and planed timber wasn't actually 50x25 of course. It was exactly the same size as the 2x1. Slightly smaller than both "measurements".
(about 45mm x 22mm IIRC)
The lengths they sell went metric though; that did change eventually.
If you wanted to repair or match an old 4' x 12' flat, say, the wood didn't come in 3658mm lengths any more so you have to buy something longer and cut a bit off. And you can't buy any other multiples of 4' either, of course. More trimmings. 🤦♂️

"We need some interior two by one." [That's 2 inch x 1 inch sawn and planed timber and not actually 2" x 1" but a little smaller and called two by one because it was that before it was planed.]
"Oh, we don't sell that any more."
"What?"
"It's called fifty by twenty-five now. 50mm by 25mm. How much do you need?"
"Um..." (Desperately trying to convert feet to mm in my head.) "...what lengths do you have?"
"Twelve feet or nine. The lengths haven't gone metric yet."

Wow - this article is bordering on unhinged!
Apparently the BBC is akin to a “North Korean re-education camp” for teaching children about net-zero and covering both the pros AND cons of immigration

"Larry has done a shit in your office PM"

"Wouldn't it be better if we removed it and its stain and put Larry outside?"
"Not for two years"
That turd is called Brexit.
PSA: If you’re more upset about Obama making a joke about Cheesecake Factory than you are about Trump making it impossible for you to afford to EAT at a Cheesecake Factory, then congratulations, because YOU are an idiot, and an asshole, and you’re in a fucking cult.
ITV's trailer for The Voice is simply awful. Presenters should never be made to speak over whipped up applause.
Do you have no idea how to deal with a live audience?
Oh, how I used to enjoy working nights when the clocks went back! An extra hour sitting in a truck offset only by being able to tell newbies to meet somewhere specific at 1.30 am.
"Join our hearing care plan from £20 a month" - Boots
OR
Depending on where you live, either ask your GP for a referral or self-refer yourself for free NHS hearing test, free hearing aids if you need them and free batteries.
While the likes of Boots will persuade you to buy rechargeable aids which may seem better, replaceable batteries are better when they go flat in the middle of a movie!
Brexit has failed Britain.
Nearly 10 years on, in a world of growing instability, we must ask whether our relationship with Europe is protecting our economic and national security. It’s time for an honest conversation about rebuilding ties with our closest allies.
@bestforbritain.org
I say this for a simple reason. A relative worked in geological science for the fracking industry and realising there is no practical fracking which can be done in the UK, now works in offshore wind.
Sorry for citing an expert instead of believing an idiot.
