Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

I love how the whole philosophy of Big Walk is just, "hey, aren't your friends great?" Very wholesome in a time like this. Also yes, we already %100-ed the game

Hell yeah

I'm just gonna say it, I don't really care about the flowers from deltarune chapter 5. Yellow and Aqua are cool, the rest? I just don't care much for them.

older games often have a display centric approach to real-time rendering, like, painting lighting into object textures was very common, or straight up using photographs as textures this lets you take very direct control over the look! modern rendering is different (short thread)

Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer (2002) how the did they get the water to look like that, this is incredible I don't mean the reflections, look at the shape of the wave as it moves, the lighting, the glow.. This and the game loop are **amazing** and needs to be studied This is lost technology oh my god

I think GIMP makes other open source software look bad. It reminds me of pre 2.8 blender where right click is left click and left click is right click. Making a software more user friendly not a bad thing!!! I'm not stupid!!! I just don't want to relearn how to use every tool in existence!!!

GIMP is objectively unintuitive and also can’t parse text layers of PSDs properly, it’s designed by FOSS people that have never created tools for professionals. Telling someone to use it for their job is like saying you can make a feature on iMovie. Technically true but not serious.

My favorite genre of indie game is the one where they get tired of waiting for an official release of a beloved game so they make their own, much better, version.

It's crazy how nowadays Star wars is a red flag rather than a selling point for a game to me. I know exactly what characters I'll see, exactly what places there will be, what kind of creatures will show up. It really limits the potential of the story imo.

They’re packaging it like this so it looks like a shallow trend, but Gen Z has gone through two financial crises, a pandemic, rising fascism, active shooter drills since they were toddlers, and are now being told by the oligarchy they’re to be replaced by robots. Socialism is the logical conclusion.

I think the hardest part about programming is when you figure out a better way to solve a problem. Then having to rewrite all your code, only to find a better way to solve a problem. Then having to rewrite all your code again, only to find a better way to solve the problem. Then having to rewrite al
