The only good thing about him putting his name on so many things is that he is giving us SO many opportunities to watch his name getting torn down in the future. 🍿

Doing my second playthrough of #Satisfactory with randomized nodes. Node location is the same but content is random. This makes exploration worthwhile but also sometimes anticlimactic, like when you get to the top of the Western Dune Forest spire and the pure SAM node is now... Limestone. Meh.

Today, we bid farewell to an old coffee mug, for we have collected too many. This one is a bit faded but still in fine shape… it will be sent to Goodwill and hopefully find a new life in a new home. May it amuse someone else as it has amused me for many years. So long, you good old cup. 👏🏻

a private citizen does not owe taxpayers an explanation for their absence; a congressman does. obviously rep. kean is extremely unwell and i hope he’s getting the care he needs, but he needs to resign.

Imagine the worst human being possible. No compassion. Zero common sense. No ability to grow or evolve. Greedy, spiteful, self-important. No redeeming qualities whatsoever. Now go lower. Lower. Even lower. …and there he is.

I put out the gnome yesterday, when the weather was only marginally fair. But today, it’s brilliant out there… a great day, not too hot, not too cold. So very nice! ☀️ Coincidence? Probably not. Gnome did it!

Came close to a 5-tile word in Quartiles today — only 2 issues: - Missing an IT tile. - I doubt SH!TGIBBONS is actually in the game’s lexicon.

“But what about all the jobs they cre—“ my cousin, a school teacher, had to live nearly 100 miles away from San Francisco to afford to work in San Francisco. Ask what jobs are they killing.

RFK JR: One time, Trump grabbed a placemat, turned it over, took a Sharpie, and drew a perfect map of the Middle East. Then he marked the troop strength of every country along each border on that map. It challenged a lot of the assumptions I had been told about him.

Due to high geopolitical tensions, sports fans are temporarily required to contextualize their posts, for example: ❌ OH GOD OH NO OH FUCK ✔️ OH GOD OH NO OH FUCK how did he make that basketball go in the hole

Every day of the week, he does something racist or misogynistic enough that it would get me fired from my job so fast that my head would spin. What an embarrassment.

If you campaigned for the presidency on a promise to destroy these assholes, you would win a landslide the size of FDR in 1936, when he campaigned on a promise to destroy these assholes.

Yes, Peter decided that the continued existence of our democracies isn't compatible with his desired level of personal freedom. An absolute enemy of humanity.

Every day, it seems like things are getting worse. And you know they CAN get better — and they SHOULD. But they DON’T. It defies common sense and common decency, yet it just keeps going on. I begin to ask myself not WHEN things will turn around but IF. It should never have gotten this far.

Spent the afternoon sitting in my recliner while using a Kodak Slide N Scan to convert 20-year old negatives to digital. No, this isn’t a live feed… it’s history repeating itself.

and it will just go on like this until we're all huddled over trash barrel files grumbling and wondering where we went wrong

I still hope that we'll have a valid election this year. If so, maybe this ship turns itself around. But the likelihood of that outcome seems to be waning. Today, it feels more like we're narrowing down to only two possible futures: the end of democracy, or a second civil war.

Democrats need to understand that they can just say “It’s insane to threaten Greenland” and “I don’t think ICE should murder Americans in the street” and you don’t need to pretend to link it to the affordability crisis. Say bad things are bad.

I think it's time to take the quotes off of Kavanaugh Stop. Capitalize it; make it a term that we use constantly in immigration discourse. Let Kavanaugh carry this around till he dies, and then let's put it in his obit.

I know he had an amazing career but the only thing I can think of is his cameo in "30 Rock" as a congressman murmuring simulated crowd noise. Why is this what comes to mind? No idea. But the scene gives me a smile every time I see it. He made Earth a better planet, and I'll miss him.

"ICE and CBP must be abolished" is the only reasonable position. We can debate the specifics of new agencies for immigration functions, but these agencies are simply too infected with a culture of impunity, racism, and fascism to continue. They're gangs with badges.

Armed ICE agents trapped US citizens in a restaurant and demanded their papers. Federal agents walked into East African restaurants in Cedar-Riverside, MN. They closed and blocked the doors. Then they demanded to see everyone’s papers. Every person present was a US citizen.

COVID isn’t acting like the viruses most of us grew up with, and treating it like “just a cold” is putting people at real risk. David Brasure breaks down why SARS-CoV-2 is fundamentally different, how it causes long-term damage, and what we can do to protect ourselves.
