A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...
Filing this under things I enjoy that I still think are bollocks.

"Portraits of bisexual men, each paired with a statement he wrote himself and photographed in a place he finds beautiful. A collaborative look at a largely invisible community, and at what masculinity looks like on its own terms".
"Dragon Age II’s playersexual approach gave players greater options by removing the capacity for supporting characters to express their own desires and preferences"
"Twenge herself called the reasons for the apparent decline a “mystery.”" Are you kidding!? You don't think it might be because it's demonstrably not as safe to come out as it was even a decade ago?
Oh absolutely fucking not @london.gov.uk. Khan has been vocally on the side of the trans community; this is two fingers up. www.timeout.com/london/news/...

“Sometimes, my previous boyfriends would sometimes start questioning their sexuality. They would ask me: Does dating you mean I am not straight? Their sexuality becomes the priority and not my non-binary identity. I am expected to undermine my identity because it’s an ‘inconvenience’,”

If you don't listen to @bisexualkilljoy.bsky.social you definitely should. As queer academia goes it's both really accessible and really affirming. As a practitioner and not a theologist it's interesting to have things I do without necessarily thinking about laid out.
“I do believe bi people exist. I’ve grown a little weary of hearing from them,” he joked"
"Those who identify as bisexual often feel the need to justify their sexuality as if it were something to be argued in a court. Even a bisexual who balances dating equally between genders may be dismissed as confused, experimental, or simply being indecisive"

"What I said was self-evidently true. Bi men tend not to come out because they are considered gay - by both men and women. One fear is that coming out will then dictate their dating and sexual lives, meaning in practise they will only be able to partner up with men"

It also reminds me of a conversation I had with a gay trans friend. He’d always be so pissed off when he’d see events that would say no unaccompanied cis men. But trans men are fine. He found that very patronising and disaffirming. Like, oh trans men don’t count, don’t worry about it

"I’m not some oblivious wife desperately trying to convince herself that her gay husband is actually into women. I see the evidence with my own eyes".
