Re-watched my Apu video tonight for the first time in awhile. I think I cooked 🔥🔥🔥

I don't rewatch my videos that often but I rarely go back to that one because the Apu video because the comment section bums me out and it made me feel bad sometimes But I'm proud of this one, I think I presented the whole situation pretty well

Great Wolf Lodge was gonna charge me $30 for not returning my towels when they left a giant towel hamper near their exit doors

Their support rep was super helpful and reversed the charge right away, but still. Oh sorry, I didn't go back to the desk and instead used the hamper you put right there out in the open. That's crazy that I would do that

I was at the Commanders-Giants game today. That was the dumbest thing I have ever seen in my life

I ran my second D&D one-shot for some friends last weekend. It got a really nice reception overall, which was a big confidence builder. But I fear that I am becoming this little friend group's Forever DM 🤔

I don't really mind if they end up asking me to do the next one, as it did scratch a storytelling itch. It was fun adapting a basic template from a book and adding my own stuff to it. The improv element is good practice for new skill It's just a lot of work that is hard to juggle with YouTube 😴

Saw Forgotten Island last night. I thought it was pretty good overall, with strong theming and a central friendship. But the film is held back by a mediocre supporting cast and an overly wandering Act 2. Still a solid film but I was a bit disappointed after hearing the reviews

My biggest pet peeve of animated films lately is the Finding Nemo format where Act 2 sorta wanders from setpiece to setpiece as an exploration movie. It can be done well (like Nemo) but so many animated films just feel like extended list jokes and the setting never feels like a contiguous world

Just realized I have no idea what video to do for Halloween this year and haven't done any prep. Will probably watch a few Treehouse of Horrors to see if an idea jumps out at me
