Pointless paying any attention to their economic/financial proposals as Reform will never be in govt. The business leaders invited know this and stayed away. BBC should have done the same.

Really worth noting that even in Red Wall constituencies which backed Leave, most *Labour* voters back rejoining the EU. Over 90% of Labour considerers back rejoin - opposition to EU membership is mainly coming from non-Labour voters in these seats. Was on Times Radio yesterday making this point.

Any group that complains about the town being "hollowed out" but simultaneously complains about a local family opening a business that will help to improve trade in the town, is displaying obvious racism. If this had been opened by a "White" family, it's likely that Reform would have welcomed it.

No surprise really. There's no point in turnong up to hear the promises of what a party not in government will do, if there's no chance they will be in the next government. Completely irrelevant - except for the damage they do spewing out and spreading racism, sexism and homophobia.

By all accounts this is what most of the recent Reform media events have looked like. Bubble well and truly burst

a fundamental part of local government is that councillors and officers must be able to work together for the sake of the community. That must be based on mutual respect for their complementary roles. On Reform side, that respect appears to be singularly lacking - not only in Leicestershire.

Like Trump, Kushner's involvement in "peace" talks, concerning Russia's invasion of Ukraine, or in Israel's war on Gaza and other territories was never about genuine diplomacy. Just like Trump himself, the primary interest was always profit. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/26/b...

Remarkable that a party that built it's appeal on the need to "take back control" is happy to accept financial dependence on foreign donors. But perhaps it wasn't really about taking back control after all, but just creating necessary publicity for a money making machine?
