Really need to get out to the woods after staying in all last week. Some pics from the last month. There’s an elk with a huge rack somewhere in the third pic. I didn’t want to intrude on his space 😅 #pnw #mushrooms #foraging #oregon

I hate to spam y’all, but can you do me a favor? If you use Etsy, can you please go favorite some listings or follow my shop? I’m not the best at growing my following (anywhere, lol.) But it’s more important than ever in order to get seen. I appreciate the help so much! swordfernstudios.etsy.com

“underdeveloped land” bro that’s nature

Smol batch wild porcini seasoning salt. I’d joke that it has my blood, sweat, & tears in it but that’d be GROSS. Instead, it’s MADE WITH LOVE & a lot of effort 💁🏼‍♀️ I foraged these mushrooms a couple weeks ago. This seasoning makes an excellent gift! swordfernstudios.etsy.com/listing/4603...

Had a wonderful time selling my art at the Oregon Mycological Society fall mushroom show yesterday. Thanks to all who came! Small items were a hit. Including this cute morel bookmark I made. Thinking of adding a green tassel option too! What do you think? swordfernstudios.etsy.com/listing/4603...

Morning! First market of 2026 is today, wish me luck! I keep remembering little things then forgetting again. Hopefully after more ☕️ I remember 💁🏼‍♀️ Much troubleshooting went into the prep, cpl brand new prints, bookmarks which I had never done before. Excited to share! #pdxartist #pdxevent

Quick little package doodle.

Portland! Come see me and the other great small businesses this Saturday at the OMS Fall Mushroom Show. I’ll have lots of fine art prints, some original art, and extra small batch handmade goodies. #pdx #pdxevent

Trying to become a forest entity. Not sure whether I’m getting closer to the fae folk, or a tree ent from LOTR 🤷🏼‍♀️ Here’s porcini I illustrated about it! #art #mushrooms

Some original paintings and illustrations of my nature inspired art. Full of stately mushrooms, smol critters, and native plants!

Porcini mushroom heaven 🌱🍄‍🟫✨ Just in time for my first market of the whooole darn year. Porcini seasoning here we come! The Oregon Mycological Society is hosting their Fall Mushroom Show this Saturday from 12-5 in Portland.

The excitement of @brendanlh.bsky.social disappearing and then reappearing.

Tired, but flowerrrrs 🥹 I’ve still got some blooms going strong in the garden.

Two long toed salamanders meet among the lichens, wood sorrel, bleeding tooth, mycena mushrooms, and many mosses. Ready for rainy walks in the woods, misty clouds, a gentle rain, and a look into someone else's tiny world 😌🌧️🦎🍄‍🟫🌱✨ 'Courtship'

If you see this, post a flower.

Which type of mushroom seasoning should I make for my upcoming markets?! Also, these will be my forest markets of the year! I just haven’t felt up for it. But I’m trying to feel better and get back at it. 😊 I’ll post market details soon! #mushrooms #porcini #fungi

Finished my Columbia Gorge Naturalist Field Course yesterday. I’m so grateful for the experience & knowledge imparted! My capstone was on edible 🍂 mushrooms in the area. I blacked out & have no idea what I said. My fellow naturalists said I should teach a class, so it must not have been too bad 😂

Happy fall equinox! Autumn is an exciting time of year for change, of beautiful colors, the sound of rainfall hitting the leaves, & the smell of fresh air on a cool morning. Enjoy it! It’s kind of an exciting time to take inspiration from the land, tbh.

Some folks call me Michelley Morelli The morel mushroom season is starting to heat up! Life has felt so crazy & up in the air lately. I’ll be taking advantage of the season as best I can. PS. Don’t forget to pick up some trash while you’re out foraging, it’s good luck! 😉

Vernal equinox mode, engage! My heart & soul re-entered my body yesterday. Best menty h day of 2026 🥹 Thankful for the spring awakening every year. A fresh start, a lot of growth & changes. Taking some time to imagine the positive future I want for humanity, so that I can fight to make it real.

Prepping 6x6 panels for Keep It Wild! Art show in White Salmon, WA A portion of proceeds goes to @columbialandtrust 🖤 Affordable original art for an excellent cause! What should I paint?! I trend toward species found in the Columbia River Gorge. Last years paintings for reference 🎨🖼️⤵️ #art

Got more yarrow, aster, & echinacea seeds planted today. I’m trying multiple methods because my fall sown wildflowers may have been TOO protected from elements this winter. I’m scared it’ll be full of weeds & grass if I don’t fill it up! Here’s a lupine emerging from its winter slumber to say hi. 👋

It’s almost time for morels! I’M SO EXCITED! Here’s a mushroom greeting card I made a long time ago now 🤓 #mushrooms #morels #foraging

I just looked at my #garden plans & dang, I’ve got a lot of 🧅 Garlic/garlic chives already out. A mystery allium (2nd pic.) Started chives, shallot, & onion inside! I’m also adding more greens & cabbage this year, in addition to my usual veg. What are you going to grow? #mygarden #growfood

So eepy.

Separating onion seeds. The larger ones came apart much easier. Not so sure these small ones are worth the effort. #seedsaving #gardenplanning #growfood

The Voyageurs Wolf Project of Northern Minnesota tags & documents grey wolf ecology & behavior: www.voyageurswolfproject.org The video you see here is confirmatory proof: Wolves. Love. Blueberries. As much as 83% of a wolf's calories in summer months comes from eating berries.

If you enjoy my nature and wildlife art pls consider getting a print, sticker or card in one of my shops! This is the slow season and boy is it slower than ever. 🍄🌲🌸🍂✨ My Shop: swordfernstudios.company.site Etsy: swordfernstudios.etsy.com #shopsmall #supportartists #art #naturedecor

Ready to start seeing these meadow friends again over the next several months. HBU? That painters tape in the earlier stage is to block in a critter. Looking forward to sharing more of the beautiful complexities of our natural world with y'all. #animalart #naturepainting #wildlifeart #frogs

Quick question! When you think of a wetland habitat, what animals and plants come to mind first? I’m planning my next piece and have ideas, but i’m curious what other folks think lives in a wetland. Here’s some of my wetland-ish art! 😊 #wildlifeart #conservation #conservationart #animalart
