Amid the election noise I missed this: Rachel posted this a day a go, it hit r/Fauxmoi and since then Jamroz appears to have stepped down from ROM already. We have got to make it unpalatable for anyone to be part of this travesty.

SCOOP: THE CANADIAN TIE TO TRUMP'S EL SALVADOR MASS DEPORTATIONS As it turns out, someone with significant ties to Canada — to our biggest museum, our 150th anniversary celebration, and more — is a top dog at the company behind the El Salvador deportation planes. youtu.be/O8El6gbYHx0

This country is becoming unrecognizable. What we’re seeing is state-funded fear. We’ve warned people: keep filming, go live on social media so these moments are documented and shared. This wasn’t a case involving masked ICE agents—but that’s happening too.

Stick a fork in the rule of law; she done.

The U.S. says it doesn’t have the power to return Abrego Garcia. El Salvador also says it doesn’t have the power to return Abrego Garcia. It’s obvious bullshit and depraved to the core.

“What did they expect?” is kind of a misleading question. The people who supported them didn’t expect something very specific. They expected to own the libs. They expected people they resented to suffer. The expected the world to burn. It wasn’t about specifics.

BREAKING: Md federal Judge Paula Xinis GRANTS preliminary injunction, rules from the bench that Kilmar Abrego Garcia was apprehended "without legal basis" and removed to El Salvador illegally, "without any legal process." He's to be returned to the U.S. by 11:59 on Monday, 4/7.

CPC star candidate Aaron Gunn praising Putin. Reform founder Preston Manning saying the west should separate if the LPC wins. BC MLA David Williams posting that we should become a US ‘protectorate.’ And that’s just today’s news. Canadian conservatism has become a movement of treasonous traitors.

I’ve taken the Senate floor and will speak for as long as I’m physically able to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed and not being heard in this moment of crisis. Watch here:

I received a heartbreaking email today: A paper in a special issue I’m editing is being retracted because one of its authors is afraid of losing their job and their legal status in the U.S. if they publish a scientific study on evolution. Yes, on evolution, nature's engine of diversity.

The us travel boycott is really kicking in. Not only is the plaza premium lounge at Gate E not at max capacity, but there are clean, comfy seats available during the mid day lunch rush. 😅

That’s a 14% swing - completely unsurprising tho. #elbowsup

Travel to the US is expected to slide by 5%, contributing to a $64 billion shortfall for the travel industry, according to Tourism Economics which had originally forecast a 9% increase in foreign travel, but revised its estimate to reflect “polarizing Trump Administration policies and rhetoric.”

A reminder in dark times: kindness, mercy, decency, and respect towards the least of us enrages Trumpists. It burns them. It’s like a mirror that shows them how they fall short of humanity. Kindness and decency towards the people Trumpists hate is not just right; it torments Trumpists.

It’s well past time to ban X in Canada.

Working in immigration law is like people finding out the Mad King is feeding his enemies to a secret minotaur hidden under the Palace and you need to explain that, no, you knew about the minotaur and the feeding has happened for years but it used to be decided by lots who got fed to him.

Um, no. Not US =/= good. Here’s a radical boycott strategy: go hyper local as much as you can. Embrace the 100 mile diet. Eat seasonal produce. And consume less of everything else as much as possible. Even outside of the Trump-induced end times, it’s the right thing to do.
