Got to love it when your mastering engineer messages you: "So I’ve listened a dozen times. I’m going to have so much fun mastering this one."

I hate letting other people touch my mixes. But I sent @structureedit.com a track of mine, unmastered. And my master of it as a reference. It came back sounding like my own master, only more hi-fi and with more low-end punch. That made me a believer. And I say that as a fellow mastering engineer.

Also I call it a ‘remaster’ to sound cool I didn’t start either attempting on my own or having someone else ( brooks ) master anything until very recently. So really it’s just the mastered version of errant. I play things real loose here.

Done! Rambly thoughts ahead. Albums like this, that let other artists reimagine previous tracks, can have the problem, that they feel either unnecessary or too different from the original. After a first listen, not a single track on this album feels like this. 1/4
