For real though. Conquest of the Planet of the Apes is an all time favorite beloved movie. Once a year I watch all five of them just to experience how hard that movie hits with the build up of the first 3. I really really love The Planet of the Apes movies. I’m due for run through!

Oh and escape. Woah escape is good. Jarring. As a kid I did not appreciate that one enough but DAMN it makes Conquest better. I remember when like, what happens in that one clicked for my brain and what it all meant. I was maybe high school ish aged? Awesome stuff.

29:6 is the chapter and verse of the ape scrolls that they recite from the first movie. (And the lyrics to arch enemy’s beast of man lol) I have this whole thing tattooed on my back. On the sides and last verse is in my lower back BECAUSE THAYS HOW COOL I AM.

I feel like when I talk about it most folks don’t know about the through line plot that ties them together. It’s such a blast! Such a fun ride. You must seeeeee em!

I’ve been having a bit of a gummy bear problem lately. I just need to eat them. Haribo makes a nice toothsome bear that I enjoy to sort of just melt for a bit before I chew but there is this one brand sold at like checkout lines in New York that I also crave independently of wanting haribo.

I’m listening to Candlemass for the first time. Did the first album last night. Doing Nightfall now. I don’t remember when I decided they weren’t for me in my youth but there is a zero chance I wasn’t exposed to them. I can see why I never dug in or picked up an album.

I’m not saying I don’t like it, I get it… it’s just not for me. Making myself listen to it for a more informed opinion in general. Gunna do one more album after this and then do whatever is the most recent thing they’ve done.

I don’t like kiss for the record. This is an attempt at something far greater and more important than these assholes lives… part of a greater scheme you know nothing about.

So this is one my favorite off center/experimental doom albums. Came out some years ago on a label out of Italy thats no longer around but is getting a tape release from this Chilean label soon. It’s a drummer and cellist and it is reallllly good. Follow the label if you wanna keep up!
