I think it is debatable if Chow offered a clearer progressive vision for Toronto's future that it would improve her margin of victory significantly. She and Bradford split 936,214 votes between them. Turnout in terms of number of votes was the highest in Toronto's history.

I just don't think the main reason anyone was voting for Bradford is because Chow wasn't *clear enough* in articulating a progressive vision of the city. People who strongly felt that way would have been more likely to *not vote* than anything else, and I doubt many of those exist.

Believe it or not, TOR sits in 8th in team Sv% in the NHL currently at .8924 If you are wondering *how*, their absurdly high .9349 Sv% while short handed might explain it. Only 5 NHL teams have a team Sv% above .900 in All Situations.

Also perhaps outside of Leafs fan reckoning... Sergei Bobrovsky sits 12th in GSAx (+5.1) amongst the 40 NHL goalies with 200+ attempts faced this season. Anthony Stolarz is in 21st (+2.76).

This is legit wild. One of the Trumpiest GOP kooks we’ve had holding high office here in Texas makes an absolute spot-on, beautiful, non-partisan call for government transparency against the governor’s attempt to hide his emails with Elon Musk.

Turnover at a glance: Nunziata –> Padovani Perks –> Chan McNally Saxe –> Layton Moise –> Stikuts Fletcher –> Ehrhardt Bradford –> Erskine-Smith Myers –> Chen Other than the loss of Myers, this is going to be a pretty strong Council for Chow.

LoL... "Algebra", "Algorithm", "Cipher" and "Zero" are all literally transliterations of Arabic words... We use Arabic numerals... They literally expanded and evolved the mathematics of Trigonometry into a distinct branch of rigorous study. So unbelievably fucking ignorant.

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

Olivia Chow has received the highest number of votes of any Mayoral Candidate in Toronto history. Prior to this the high was Mel Lastman with 483,277 in 2000. She has recieved 523,641 and counting. More votes than *any* elected rep at *every* level of government in Canada has *ever* gotten.

Her vote total is higher than the entire population of 1 of Canada's 10 provinces and all 3 territories... Almost as high as the population of NFLD. Nfld - 552,000 Olivia Chow - 523,641+ PEI - 183,000 Yukon - 50,400 NWT - 45,900 Nunavut - 43,100

Doug Ford's total number of election votes in *all of his elections at the municipal and provincial level combined* is 392,624... In 5 different elections. Olivia has gotten 523,641 in this one election (and counting).

Diana Chan McNally went to Town of Hardcore on Friday and then won a council seat today. Makes you think.

A lot of anti-AI rhetoric is about intellectual property theft ... Which is inherently about protecting *property rights*... Which is inherently *RIGHT coded*. Intellectual Property rights are a legal tool that most individuals can't afford the requisite fees to actually enforce.

my nuclear-grade AI hot take that’s sure to get me cancelled until kingdom come is that refusing to use AI at all is rapidly becoming an extremely privileged lifestyle choice that feels social justice-y while actually being the complete opposite

On Saturday, the band Turnstile played to thousands of people in the shadow of the Washington Monument. The concert was free and open to the public, with attendees encouraged to donate to the Canada-based charity Human Concern International which raises money for refugees. https://cnn.it/3VUKknw
