Go see Wildwood. Seriously, don’t wait—go see Wildwood. What a piece of art. The love for the manual craft, for story that doesn’t hold back, for filmmaking that is not here to answer to stockholders, it weaves all through it. Incredible stuff.

If you want to see an actual work of cinematic art, go see Wildwood in theaters to support it. It's a beautifully animated, charming and emotional film; efforts like this should be encouraged over so much of the other uninspired movies that show up these days. It also has cute animals!

That feel when you draw a thing based on your inspiration and reference of another creator's thing and they comment on your thing and say "dang I love how you did that thing".

I generally maintain a hopeful outlook that most people I interact with are honest even if they're strangers. There's a lot of people looking to strike an easy buck on the Internet though. Gen art, financial advice, easy rage bait attention/ads.. It's easy to see how it could wear down your trust.

Naturally, after the CEO panicked rush to claim the AI tools they developed just naturally seem to be hacking other organizations (not their fault btw, these things just happen!) They will now announce that we can avoid these hacks with more AI tools! Brilliant.

But also, just in case, let's call the government in to impose regulations on AI. CEOs are well known to always do the most helpful things for the world that don't benefit stakeholders and they really actually have a moral compass. It's not at all a planned scapegoat or regulation for competition.

I feel like it's been forever since we had a good rain that I could just relax and listen to while being cozy in bed. It's such a pleasant sound 😌

Dunno if people have just been inspired by dragon wash, jumping on the hype train of fan art, or just discovering how GOOD wide dragon haunches are but I'm here for it.

Pondering over a sort of art journal while posting WIPs while I work on things. I don't draw as often these days due to time constraints, but I'm still working on stuff. I don't see many folk explaining the things they're thinking about while a piece is in progress and it might be insightful.

Especially in an age where it's too easy to simply glance at a piece without considering anything that went into it. I know most won't care to see more than a finished piece and that's fine! But maybe it'll give other folk an idea of ways to explore the thinking around creativity.

The existence of generated art has given me an even greater appreciation of creative processes and expression. I desire to think more on the ideas and skills used on a piece, and it's been a fresh push of inspiration to find ways to connect with people and feelings.

I can only hope there are spaces where I can continue to connect with what and how people make things rather than a shallow facade of vain and conceited generative practices. I crave that connection more than anything. It's what makes the human world interesting and worth living.
