Stealing this from Facebook The narrowest gauge industrial railway in the world was fucking OO gauge A Hornby Dublo 4MT transported radioactive material for the Atomic Energy Authority because the chamber was too toxic for humans to enter

Felt like posting some of my gauge 3 things. For those unaware, thats 1:22.6 scale on 2.5" gauge track. These were a mix of wood scratchbuilds, resin kits, and the engine is steel and 3D printed. I built these between 2015 and 2018.

I'm calling this mostly done! Added some final details/ weathering and I'm fairly happy with the result. Still needs a brake wheel though If people want I'll upload the files on cults3d as a pay what you want! Any sales goes towards new 3d projects #pacificelectric #modeltrains #hoscale

These fucking rock, that's really nice work. It's always a fun time explaining what Gauge 3 is to the average American modeler who has never heard of it and does not believe you lol. I've had the discussion many times because my Mt Washington cog models are G3

There's a new kit up on the shop! This little Neilson engine. It's based on the Great Eastern's 209 class, later LNER Y5. 1 of the 8 locos built was later adapted into a tram engine and was used in Colchester. So I've used lots of it's features in this narrow gauge spinoff!

Test run with train. Will easily pull three plastic wheeled cars around 18" radius curves. With four cars it started to slip when ascending the grade onto my chair mat.

A fantastic add to the collection, a brass E-33. Runs well, paint is in good condition, and it’s complete. What makes it better is it only cost $25 from a local hobby shop! A lucky find and a locomotive I’ve been looking to get for a while. Looks to have the builders name inside too! #modelrailroad

Finally finished the paint job on my Suydam North Shore 700 series interurban car, absolutely delighted by how well this came out! It has a NCE DCC decoder in it too, additional pickups added and runs like a dream. Eventually I’d like to add the headlights to the doors, but that’s for another day

999 got to stretch her legs last night. The motor/gearbox/wheels SHOULD give 100mph top speed, but it doesnt. She doesnt hit 70. Speed curve seems to plateau around 80/126. Running a tsunami2 decoder. Anyone know what I need to change?

Also as part of the fall foliage festival weekend, my Alpine Tunnel display has been set up for the weekend at Catamount Arts, a local nonprofit visual and performing arts center! It’s part of larger train themed activities around town in addition to the foliage train ride ran by VRS.

Big update, it's coming along Wish the decals went on a bit better but im still working on it, ill probably order a set to be printed next time instead of just using my inkjet. For the cost of roughly $45 it sure beats $400+ for the brass equivalent. The most expensive part is the flatcar kit
