I'm receiving many comments and messages about the changes to Kickstarter's policy on nudity and adult content. I'm not sure whether it is clear that this isn't just a #hardcover problem but one about art identity and forced rebranding. 1/4

Adaptation is what is forced on us and should not be the answer. The answer to this should be authenticity. We discuss this on my server a lot, but the issue with Stripe dictating to artists what is considered "artistic value," like they earned the right to do so, is just a joke. 3/4

Or at least it feels like one. I decided to do both things in the end. I will change platforms, but my last #hardcover campaign will certainly happen on Kickstarter despite their policy. And I will make it a funny thing for you and an embarrassing one for Stripe. 4/4

When our way of communicating was slowly forced in a different direction by social media, chats, and forums, it happened so slowly that it was hard to notice, but in this case, it is just one brutal cut after another, and people still talk about adapting. 2/4

I am used to people telling me how much they like and respect that I am not drinking or smoking, but getting the same reaction for leaving Meta and also deleting all social media apps from my phone is something I did not expect. I thought people would laugh it off as ridiculous, but they get it.

During Playgrounds in Eindhoven, at least a dozen people asked me about my motives for this, or also for quitting art (in 2013), as I mentioned in my panel there. It felt like they looked for validation in my emotions about doing this themselves. This has so many layers, it's incredible to think of.

So odd to see so many go back on being active on Instagram because of AI on BlueSky, when the whole AI shit and the ads and the propaganda was my main drive to leave anything Meta related. Not judging, it just leaves me confused. Not that Bluesky is doing anything for me atm…
