When studios put the director's name above the film title, it's either a promise or a warning. Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day? Promise. Ken Russell's The Devils? Warning.

I'm #running the Great Trek Half marathon tomorrow. My watch is claiming I can run it in 2:08:25 which as always is way too optimistic. Strava has a more realistic 2:26:54 but my last race about 3 months ago was 2:49:41. The course is flatter so maybe 2:30 is doable this time.

It was a cold and wet race but despite my watch shutting down at 15km and the course markings being wrong, I managed to finish in 2:28:28. Still a long way from PB land but still very happy with that.

overheard in a gift shop today where there were blatantly AI generated Halloween illustrations, an older woman went "ohh how cute!" and the teenager with her, So Done, goes "I know you have a hard time telling, but that is AI, it's ugly, and I'm sick of it" I wanted to throw that teen a parade

While I have had many excellent pitches I am severely lacking in pitches from non-white people and I am very aware of that. I really really really want to elevate some non-white voices with this so I urge you to apply. Please please please.

We are about 25% of the way to becoming sustainable. But like I said last week, the launch fever cannot last. Our reporting has already been viewed by over 20,000 people. If just 10 percent of that number were willing to pay, I might actually get some sleep! I'm self-funding this thing, remember.
