During the brazilian elections we learned one obvious but important tactic to defeat the far right on the Internet and I think everyone should know it: IGNORE THEM! DON'T ENGAGE WITH THEIR CONTENT! DON'T MAKE CONTENT REACTING TO THEM! DON'T HATE QRT! LET THEM ALONE IN THEIR BUBBLE!

This is probably the best ad I've seen against using generative AI: Mayer, who was an engineer at Google and a chief executive of Yahoo, has rotted her brain so much she can no longer classify her daughter as "empathetic, creative and an animal lover". The slide of competence is incredible.

This is a beautiful examination of being trans but also self acceptance which I think literally everyone can benefit from.

I do not use GenAI, ever. I go to pretty insane lengths to disable it on everything I use. A growing part of my consulting and contracting work these days is actually De-AI-ing studio workflows and helping folks out of the learned helplessness that AI instills in folks.

"That person draws smut." "That person is a mattress actress." And are they hurting you or hurting other people? No? Then leave them alone, y'all. It's that easy to just let people be and do the stuff that they want to do.

Not to detract from the Bioware news, but what's everyone working on? It may be Wednesday, but I'm feeling nostalgic for #ScreenshotSaturday.

I literally don't have words for the news of EA closing Bioware. Unconscionable, incompetent, soulless decision-making. May everyone involved in these decision suffer Renegade interrupts for the rest of their lives.

Dragon Age has become a huge part of my life right now and seeing the news that Bioware is shutting down sure stings. But remember that a lot of the devs are off starting their own projects and opening new studios - there are still stories to be told. Go out and find them, support them.

To paraphrase what I said elsewhere: I am an artist first and foremost. I will always be reliant on the people around me to make games together, as a collaborative project. Everything I care about in the process of making video games is tied up in that collaboration.

I've been really enjoying DaVinci Resolve Studio. Steep learning curve, but I've yet to have an idea for an edit I couldn't figure out how to do in some way with it.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

I'm ashamed to be invested in @magic.wizards.com at this point. Making a set everyone is going to be interested in then artificially restricting access so people will wait in a virtual line, ALLOWING 2 BOXES PER CUSTOMER, then not closing the queue once it sells out shows they're incompetently evil.

This is the big struggle I'm facing with Art Attack. I know there's interest, and the pitch alone resonates with tons of people, but it's hard for me to keep working on it when I know I'll never finish it without the rest of the team.

Kenney hit the infamous "two billionaires with one post" achievement, remains very rare, also shows once again that money does not equal intelligence, capability, or insight: Kenney is obviously right.

I stand by the fact that the most permanent damage GenAI has done to the art community specifically is that it made us all paranoid and suspicious of each other. Artists calling each other AI users and distrusting one another and fracturing our community.

Really starting to lose hope that I'll ever find a publisher for Art Attack. Just gets me thinking about how many indie game devs never even had the chancd make it this far. I'm honestly amazed at the scale of some indie games that are being made, but I guess if you know people with money, it helps.
